nah they buy the cheapest cameras they can. with fixed lens.
it looks like they have it forward of the door because they aren't WDR cameras.
Really just a bad camera setup.
-
That is a really bad photo it looks like they took a photo of the monitor.
also the camera should be tighter in as there is a lot of wasted space.
-
Repco do have both, as I got asked which one I needed when I bought a new one for mine, it was only $25 or something too.
When was that?
that is cheaper than an oil filer for an escort from Repco.
-
I think that should be fine
-
yeah they do
-
I was thinking $80
im in howick , auckland
-
and no brakes
-
I have some mk2 1600 sport struts without hubs and springs.
-
you are wanting mk2 strut with strut tops for a small hole .
Is that correct?
-
depends on what year it is.
If the lock in in the door handle cant be done with out some major work.
if its a separate lock then as above.

I saw this in Junes CF Mag
http://www.sciperformance.co.uk/page_1796358.html
they don't have the price for the crossflow yet.
-
For that sort of stuff i find rally design to be cheaper and the same thing.
I think RD supply Burton with a few items

I think WOF places have found a bit of a cash cow with wiper Blades.
Everything time i take my car for a warrent it fails on wiper blades, that are 6 months old and have only been used most likely 10times as i only do about 1k per 6 months.
Last time i was there i noticed they had a big box of blades behind the counter so they can sell you new ones.
(they also failed it on the rear seatbelts were under the seat)

i dont know my car came with 1 set and teh second set was already done and i just had to put the ball bearings in.
-
i think the rubber was burnt out and then new bearings were put in.
-
just thinking about it my other set ive got. i replaced the actual ball bearings in them which i got form saeco
-
my MK1 cortina has those.
the set that are in my car have new bearing put in them with urethane instead of rubber.
I think chris at suspention tech can do it.
-
most ppl just use a hole saw.
I havnt seen any of these in NZ yet

Its in the "YOUR CAR" section
CF March 2010Kiwi, Jason is clearly a man who likes nothing more than building his own car or two.As well as a lotus 7-type kit car, the 23-year old has built up this escort from a standard daily driver to a hot street racer, and all in just a year- but then they don't have much rust to deal with down under...
So instead of dealing with body work issues, jason has spent his time installing a sierra 2-litre Pinto with YB cosworth pistons, ported head with turbo cam."I then made custom manifolds to suit fitment for Escort",He adds.It also feastures a twin scroll VF38 Turbo,550CC injectors and custom alloy rocker cover.
"the engine made 240bhp at the wheels at 18psi boost," says jason."I've strengthed the front chassis to handle the power
I really like how they think we dont have to deal with rust.

its in the march 10 issue

I see you car made it into Classic ford in the "your car" section. FEB 2010

My Brother bought this in australia and had it over there for a few years and then decided to ship it back to NZ for me to look after it and fix it up.
This was in Perth
This is when it arrived in NZ a year ago
I took it to get Vined in at VTNZ failed on a few things
Tints, Streering rack, front disc's too thin, no high stop light and rust (need certified repair)
fixed everything but the cert that night.
Took it to the Certifier and was told had to remove all under seal and paint from all under body and floor and then get him to check it again.
9 months later finally had time and removed the under seal and paint.
I then had to repair all the Rust spots.
Left rear Repair pannel Inner and outer
Right Rear Pannel
i had the certifer come around today and he is happy with all the repairs so now i have to get it ready to paint
I spent today stripping it a bit more and found some more rust the VTNZ guys didnt find, so ill have to fix that now.

I tried to get him to quote me for mani/system, but he just wouldn't. If you can get a mk.1 system and pinto manifold ( the smaller one ) quoted for as well, see if we can split the postage???
im looking at a system for the escort and 1 for the cortina.
so ill work out how much for the lot.
shipping was about 150 for a manifold and system.
Welder Repair Auckland
in General Car Chat
Posted
My welder decided to play up today, when I really needed it.
Its a Cebora Bravo 155.
The problem is the wire speed controller does not work(super slow).
What I have found is I think there is a problem with the current to the Motor, Voltage to motor stays at 2.5V no matter what the pot is set to. If you disconnect the motor the voltage changes from 2.5V up to 20V. so it looks like there is not enough current to drive the motor at 20V.
Can anyone recommend a repair person for these welders?
