  1. cheers for that man, what cars to they come out in?
  2. RX, i actually ment i know someone with 5 2TG's but no worries so you guys all think i should go for the 3t then... so callum, i should still make the mounts the same as for the 2T that you send me? makes it easier for now while i'm running the 2t anyways. also, word on the street is that these things make ~180 or 170 hp standard, cant remember what they told me, is that about right? do these engines come up for sale quite often? and what's a good price for them? there is one in the new T&E for $600 i believe, comes with ECU and loom. also says it comes with everything for a conversion... but not sure if that means it comes with a box... so i take it i cant use my T50, or would it suffice untill more work goes into it? one more thing for you callum, i dont want to sound like a smart arse, but since my car is a rolling body right now, just waiting for the pannel beater and the painter, wouldnt it be just as easie to mod the tunnel now? save alot of re-painting and disasembling of the car? or is there no easy way of knowing how far to cut the tunnel until the box is in...? cheers guys, your being a great help especially you callum, you've saved my arse quite a few times now! remind me to buy you a beer, or 10, next time your in auckland!!
  3. possibly muzzie, depends if my mates house warming party is going ahead or not.... will let you know tomorrow ish
  4. well, someone i know has got 5 of them so thats all gravy. i know that they are old, but surely the engine would be a minter after a re-build... one other thing i forgot to mention is that i was also contemplating to not use the fuel injection setup, but go for twin sidies instead... or wold it be to hard to then turb the bugger...? oh, and RT, surely i dont need money for any of this right? i thought it'd be free
  5. Hey guys, i'm a n00b when it comes to turbo's etc but heres my story i'm putting a 2T-B into my starlet for now, but want to actually re-build a 2T-G and turb it. now, can anyone tell me what's needed to do this? i know that the 3t turb exhaust manifold will bolt onto the 2t block, so thats a good thing to know any help=awesome chur
  6. was gonna say that too, most/all diffs will have the ratio stamped on the housing. but then again, it couldve been changed too.
  7. [thinks]i might have to cancelling this other BBQ....[/thinks] I'm only 19, so your not that much younger... turning 20 in january though...
  8. i possibly already have a BBQ on, but if not, then i might come down if theres an auckland people cruise
  9. they aren't adjustable in any way are they? could you move the 2 gears closer together?
  10. could always pretend you didnt know it was anything then standard... its not like its a massive upgrade is it? BTW, i thought you only needed a cert if some shit had to get fabricated and if the engine power was X% more :S
  11. anyone willing to sell some for my starlet? where do i get them from?
  12. rad, somehow reminds me of donald ducks car for some reason :S
  13. ended up being a shit turn out from oldschool (or any other car club) but still a goos night in my books! just a few good mates around for a BBQ and drinks. actually kinda happy that halve the shitheads invited didnt show
  14. Jeez its been a while got bored of cleaning the box and engine... found me a metal pollisher that'll dio my rocker cover and hopefully my box and some other bits and pieces at his work over lunch time all for a box of piss and some cigars or something also started putting under-body-seal on the bugger but got bored of that too.... hate lying under the car brushing on that crap and having it drip into my eye! it hurts! so been looking into ways of hanging it of its side or something so that i can spray it on gotta get a spray gun anyway so i can spray some sort of sealant inside chassis rails etc other thing is that my pannel beater doesnt have time for my car untill 23rd of jan! i know i could find another pannel beater, but this guys price is good! and he's one of the best in custom work! its going to no other then slammed customs now i just have to get some parts sorted first, see if i can cut cost by buying fibreglass pannels, instead of getting my rusty ones fixed... also, got Quintin from club-k to help me out with a bigger brake setup. looks mint so far! Starlet has 200 mm disks with single pot callipers on it. useless those things are. BUT now i have U13 bluebird 280 mm vented disks! and SW20 twin pot callipers!! Hoot Hoot! and i've been painting the callipers go-fast red and the brackets black. looks MINT! Well, that'll be about it for now guys. will post up some pics etc when my old man gets back from his holiday so i can use the camera.
  15. thats illegal. you wont get WOF/CERT will you... been looking into it myself, but if your in the car, and the power fails, you'll be fucked. i know its bullshit, because you wouldnt lock your car if you were in it, but thats what the wof man says anyway
  16. it seems like most people that are coming are coming at around 5-6pm, just for the people interested...
  17. doesnt look like the turnout i had thought... so far i have just over 10 people that are saying they'll come, and halve a dozen people that say they will try, whatever that means
  18. Here's a link, but its for a starlet, and its for a clutch... but should be the same idea...
  19. looks like the beach plan=out the window. Unless someone has an idea for a beach spot... problem is that nobody wants to let their car out of sight and we dont want to go to far as the H town people dont want to drive even further. so it will have to be a West Auckland beach, with parking right by the beach... and the beach has to be pretty awesome to chill out on eg shade etc. Well, there is no such thing... best one i thought of was O'Neill's bay. its right next to bethels, but you cant see your car from there... at all... if we go for a slightly further drive, eg north shore, then we could go to browns bay (i think thats the one) parking is 10 meters from the water! that would be the best one, as its not too crowded, dairy across the road and there are trees and a jungle jim for the kids amongst us (HUNTD and logan etc) so if (Htown) people are fine with the shore thing, then we'll do that, if not, then i'm going to start the drinking etc at my house at 3 ish. got some more time of work, so might just have to make the most of it anyways, i'll PM whoever said they'd come with my phone number and address. Neil
