I used 1600 escort rad when I did mine. I didn't have to change any mounts and used Std rad pipes of some sort. I'm thinking Mazda b1600 fir some reason. Hope I'm not steering you way wrong.

Did wheels in black.

Chipped in 2 weeks. Doesn't peel and can be touched up.

I run real low pro tyres and it is chipping around outter lip of wheel.

Need to know if they all have the crossmemebr with the side wings which hold the bumpstop or do some crossmemembers have bumstop elsewhere?

Brought parts from the UK, was cheaper than Palmside. Think Ive seen them on Ebay nowdays.

Depending on what your replacing/whats reusable it can get a bit pricey. Mine cost $550 in parts.

Rx2 out of garage last weekend and cortina into garage.

Made and welded in new radiator supports, rust treated, seam sealed and primed.

Over the week sourced new pads.. running escort in rear for some reason.

Changed oil n filter. Put in new thermostat and new belt.

Tonight middy cut out a piece if rust and made a new but to weld in tomorrow.

Will keep on, need an old car on road this summer!

Ive got a tappered reamer that I used to ream out the Capri struts to fit the Sierra steering arms. I think they are bigger than escort.

Its a funny tool as its not an automotive tapper so just happened that part of the tapper ramp was the correct taper for what I was doing.

Good plan, I ran sierra as it was bigger and I ran Sierra lower arms. Had to scollop sump though which is a pain.

Are you planning on running a sway bar at front, mine fouled sump was a pain!

Have swapped 14" volk centre's into 15" ssr bands.

Ssr do a number of different bands I believe.

What about heat treatments to increase piston strength? There are coatings that can be applied to reduce heat sink.

Put Austin Princess 4 pots on them with decent pads. Job done.

Unless they are having brake fade issues and then go for Capri vented rotor aswell. No need to do this if brake fade isnt an issue.

Need an adustable automotive reamer. Auto use specific tapper that varies up the shaft.

Not a Morse tapper.

Snap on may make one. Can put you in touch with old rep if required.

Hey Sparks I have had similar issues with dull clear but patchy, was on a wet day in a damp garage. I think it had issues where I put it on too thick and the moisture? Managed to fix by wet dry fine sand and reclear.

Kempy, Low pressure lots of coats for wheels, could use a smaller gun to help get angle in.

I would sandblast and powdercoat wheels though, unless they need filling.

I brought one years back to do the same thing when I converted my Cortina to rack n pinion. Worked perfectly. Will flick old man a text to see if he can locate and what taper was on it. They are expensive, over $150.

Cant remember the size I brought and Ive never used it since, think its sitting in my old mans toolbox up norht however he has moverd a number of times since.

Brought it from Rotorua in a shop on corner of Depot Street which is no longer there. Cant remember the name though, its where Corys or Ideal Electrical is now.
