I think it was $50-$60, but that included 2 new keys & re-keying another 2nd hand lock as the original was to mangled to salvage
-
Just the local locksmith in Hornby, think he just strips them down & cleans up, usually fits new face plates & outer trim rings to tidy them up. Probably something any locksmith can get the bits for.
-
He seems to think it was about $100 per mount, and had to be sent to Autolign in AKL to get done.
-
Autolign are able to make up Nolathane engine mounts doing something similar, I think they burn out the old rubber & refill with molten nolathane. We had a set made up for a workmates 4wd & were pretty happy with the results, i'll try remember to ask him what it cost

Sweet was looking for an excuse to take Wednesday night off work, will try to make it happen

Should be a good project, my mate down south has a SR20DET in his EX Lancer, goes real well.

Still 2 there, a 318i & a 320i both mid 1990s i think

New contractor at work has this choice Mk2

Just take whatever timeframe they give you for the job & add an extra 8-10 weeks on to it. And expect to get treated like shit when you ring/visit them wanting to know why the job is taking so long.

Not sure Josh, would hazard a guess at Low or superlow, just based on the way the rest of the car was looking.

Been checking on Pick-a-part most weeks to see if anything interesting turns up. Disappointing to see that most the customers have no regard for anyone but themselves, for example almost every vehicle has had the stereo removed with a claw hammer/prybar, so all the center consoles & radio surrounds are smashed up. Even closing the doors & boots afterward to preserve the seats/interiors seems too hard for most.
Only things I noticed today were a GT Starlet with a full set of King Springs sitting in the boot & another AE101 Levin with complete 20V 4AGE, still had the quad throttles on it.

True, yeah I had a look at them earlier in the day for a mate. They're 14x6.5 & 14x7, think he has measured them up total width to the outer edge.

Did you get those longchamps off guy in Rolleston with a bogged up green KE30?
-
I have a factory 2E manual, PM me your address & I can send it up to you.
-
I had them in my last Corona & liked them, the superlows gave a nice drop & they gave a better ride than the King Springs they replaced.
-
Yeah just for a look, see what they have on the yard for future reference

Anyone else keen to check this out on opening Saturday? (04 Aug)
Informal O/S gathering maybe?

Mount shop in CHCH has those listed for a mercedes, think you can buy direct from them or order through partsmaster
-
His was gold, looked very similar to picture above. The other one in CHCH was also gold, but had been fitted with aftermarket wheels (Tridens i think)
-
My grandfather had one of these in the early 90's, a real minter, but got sick of constant electrical issues with it, the door looms especially were forever breaking wires. Think back then he sold it for something silly like 6 or 7K. Think it's over on the West Coast now.
He reckoned that there were only 2 on the road in CHCH at that time. I'll try dig up some old photos & scan them.

I must be living in the past. I buy & sell a lot of wheels, and would never consider paying anymore than $100-$150 per wheel for anything less than 7" wide, especially with a offset that high.
I would have said $400 - $600, tyres are irrelevant, that's a odd size, most people would need to change to suit their particular vehicle.

Would top mounted turbo cause bonnet clearance issues? Worked out mint on my 3RZ+T Hilux, seems like it would save you a lot of mucking around. Just leave the oil filter where it is. My old setup
