  1. it depends how much time you want to spend on it and how you want the end result to be

I am stripping my capri back to bare metal the whole outside has been bare metaled and epoxyed now, i thought it was worth it because i thought the body was pretty good for rust until i got through the paint then hello there were some little spots of rust here and there.

Another thing to consider is how long you intend to keep the car as you dont want spend hours and hours of time (like i have) then sell the car a year or to later.

In the end it comes down to how long you want to spend doing it (money and time) and how long you intend to keep the car

If your going back to metal you dont have to acid dip or blast it with media

  2. im only talkn about bigger vavles due to geting my block bored out, itl depend how much i do bore it tho wether it happens or not.

Ive been talkin to a guy thats a built his fair share of 1600's and 2l's and he was saying that it could be worth while getin the secondry jetted a bit bigger so wen u put ur foot init itl have enough fuel, but then again this is with a bored engine

  3. i just finished stripping my 1600 and its ready to get checked out now. mines goin to be bored out, and im using oversized 1300 pistons, ported head might get bigger valves, possibly goin to sideys or rejetting standard carb, unsure of which cam to use yet tho, lightened and balanced flywheel and clutch assembly crank and rods.

should be fun when that gets done
