A whole line of cars overheating, rubbing, clunking, whining all teh way down to the mount
Maybe you shouldnt own an oldschool car, thats wat it is all about
-

-
yea that would be the way to do it i reckon. Best of both worlds then
-

Thats crazy man, my escorts running 13x6 and i have no problem with the standard studs, infact i had to replace some of mine but my mechanic never said anything about needing longer studs.
Yea you have to remove the drums to do it on a escort, it should take a day, max to do it
-

not all jap cars are crap!
in fact many are very good cars that were a head of their time.
but we are always going to get this same argument because some people will fail to admit that some japanese cars are better than the american and british and whoever else you want to add, but also not all american and british cars are crap compared to the japanese cars
basicly all im saying is that you have to have mutual respect for the japanese cars and american, british etc
and kyteler your car is still awesome
-
yea thats the guy i just forgot when i went to post
-
they can get them to 2.3 by offset grinding the crank and stroking it as far as i know
-
i guy in hamilton has one in his capri he races it in targa, 450hp or so
-
the GAA is the cosworth engine they used in the RS3100 racing capri's, its a fuel injected quad cam v6
-
i know eberyone will hate more saying it but put a vtec into it they do it quiet often in the uk, now that will make it fly
-
'73 escort
'76 capri
-
yea you got it TR i just couldnt think of the name of it
also i forgot but they were running double valve springs
-
umm im not sure wat he did with that i was too busy asking him about other things instead
-
i was there looking at it so i no how it works.
its realy simple they just made a turbo exhaust mainfold, then ran a small turbo on that you could then run an intercooler if you wanted but this guy didnt, then they made box over the standard 32/36 with bigger secondary jets, they also run a bov at the box, they ran an electric fuel pump with fuel pressure regulator and thats it.
only work they did on the actual engine was put in a very mild cam with a 1000-3000rpm range which just get the engine goin then its all turbo.
you dont need to change compression cause standard 1600 comp is only 9:1 this guy was running 8psi
