  2. That thing is actually capable of 116kph

and it redlines at 900 rpm..... 116kph at 900 rpm aint bad, lol :P

lol well it is a 8.8 litre engine so it should put out a bit of power, imagine how much gas it would suck through

  3. does anyone know if a type 3 gearbox will go straight onto a 1600 crossflow?? i think it does but just wanna make sure. its the single rail version of a 2000E gearbox found, its found on cortina mk2, cortina mk3 1.3/1.6/1.6gt, cortina mk4/5 1.3,1.6(not gt), lotus cortina 69-, capri mk1 -8/72 1.6 OHV, capri mk1 2.0 v4 and sierra 1.6

  6. if u want a gt or better then its probably cheapest to get one imported from the uk, have a look in the classic ford magazine, gt and 1300e escorts only ever came out in the uk so they are very rare over here but you can tell what they are usually by the tag in front of the front door, but otherwise it could be quite hard as 6 dial dashes can be put into the car, rs2000's can usually be defined by the large stripe going around the sides of the car and mexicos have a thin stripe going all the way around the car, lotus twin cams have a lotus emblem on the side and rear of the car, but if u cant tell then u may have to look at the plates or find out how the car may have modified, eg gearbox tunnel enlargement or gearstick lever movement, the person selling should know what sort of car it is anyway, only AVO cars have a different chassis but not all rs's and mexico's are are AVO cars such as most rs1600's that were built before boreham was built, the only real discernable difference though is the front gaurds are slightly more flared than usual, the other AVO changes are just strengthening plates which were welded in and are very hard to find, but again you could have normal mk1 gaurds panel beated to look just like AVO gaurds, theres some guy in new zealand who even bought a rs1600 with a dead shell and just bought a 2 door 1100 shell and rebuilt and rebadged it so sometimes it may be very hard to tell, he has a website but i forgot what it is

    damn thats badly written
