That why I was surprised at your comments.
The 13BT MX5 would have been a monster, we were going to build one with a cheap MX5 I imported from Japan a few years back, I gave up on the Project, whilst trying to get Motorsport NZ to agree to a rollcage design, that would work with a Hardtop and the Soft-top and me in the car.

the 13b one was a pig, rangi as conversion, no way in hell would it ever have got a wof, was a truly scary car.
but was amzingly quick in a straight line, but it was only a matter of time before that car killed someone, thank god the rotor died first, think a wrecker in dunedin ended up with it.
and yeah the stock one wasnt a minter by any stretch of the imagination.
but as much as they have the whole "girls/hairdressers/fags cars" image id own one, with the right mods

Oh and the comment about a S1 being like a MX5....have you actually driven either of these cars? The RX7 drives NOTHING a MX5, the MX5 would eat the generation 1 and 2 RX7, in both the handling, road holding and chassis dynamics.
The only thing the MX5 and a RX7 have in common is a gearbox and some switchgear
just my opinion dude, and yep, ive driven both, including a 13b t mx5... that car is one of the few that truly scared me its cars like that one that is the reason we have cert' laws... goddamn deathtrap.
but yeah, i found a standard mx5 and a series one to be reasonably similar to drive. meh.

Good car, will become classic one day.
most of them already fetching classic prices....
buy a mx5, same driving experience, minus the crap noise, fuel economy, and a whole lot slower... but at least it will start every morning, and the feds wont hassle you off the road.

sure theyre not off an early falcon? i think up to XA they had smaller centres, same as valiants...

i think with a basic link theres only like 8-10 wires to connect up...
but yeah i know what ya mean, i hate wiring and would unbolt bolt on shit all day long than try and rewire something in my car.

the work involved in converting your escort to efi isnt really any more than changing the 20v to carbies...
really if your mad keen on sidies you would be better off flicking the 20V and running an older 4age...
imo converting a 20v to run on sidies is like buying a 351 clevo and knocking it back to a 302.....
