  1. that a damn cool supra...

iv had a couple of those (all standard engine wise) and although they were nice cruising cars i always thought they needed a few more horses to lug around their hefty weight, but you found a damn good way of over coming that problem.

have you run it down the strip yet?

  2. and yea, u pay 10g just 2 purchase a new car, 10 g on an oldschooler would go HEAPS further...

yep, i paid $9000 for my old 'teg, spent another $6000 modding it and sold it for $5000...

while i miss v-tec, my starion will be quicker handle better and is rwd all for less than the original purchase...

and my dx is gonna owe me no more than $2000, but will be a reliable good looking daily driver.

  3. We never got any 2 door Cortinas after the MK2 so a 4.1 2 door would either be a conversion or a very rare model indeed.

South Africa made Cortina utes and V6 COrtinas as well as V8 Capris.

mmm, my uncle has a mk3 corty 2 door thats been in the build for the last three years.... it was factory 3.3 and auto and was impoted from oz in 1982...

now its got ef xr6 motor and box and looks bog standard bar ride height and wheels.... hes just about done the interior so in a few months time those in dunedin should keep an eye out for it....

  4. those old 1.9s can actually be made to go quite hard.... all the 6cylinder hipo gear like rodn pistons fit, obviously cams might be a bit of a miss' to fit tho....

there was one in an ancient fast 4s that was prety cool really

  5. mmmm, it was a few years ago now, but i was in a mates mk3 going down one of the many hills in dunedin when something broke in the front suspension, dropping the front oto the ground and we slid for about 30 metres down the road....

most impressive thing was the big gouge we put in the tarseal... it was still there last time i was in dunedin too....

  6. what engines did they come out with? straight sixes? they are the ultimate old school mitsy I reckons... My celeste's big brother

they came out 2.0l four pots... with factory twin carbs... they were bloody quick for their day... genuine 115mph top speed

getting real hard to find a good original one now...

  7. a guy at my work has a mint silver one with flares and chromies that hes thinking of selling...ill take a pic....it looks mean as...not lowered but looks it..

can you let me know when he decides to sell it please? iv been after a good one of those for ages...
