  1. put VL diff into back of ur datfun and VT brake conversion onto the front Edit: nah nha i reckon put kingswood front cut onto the front of skytang. im sure youd win auto salon 2009 . EASY BRO EASY. c cos then u would have the right stud pattern for ur wheels. Man if i hada dolla for everytime i was extra smart i would be comfortably wealthy

sorta what i was thinking... but i was just gona suggest some bolt on adaptors... cert guy would be far happier with them than some dodge re-drilling...

  2. right, sold my old surf and bought me a '88 xf falcon ute.

minor mods, stainless big bore, good extractors, cold air intake, XR6 headlights, hard cover, good stereo, recon motor, kelford cam, reset rear leaves, V8 coils in front, XR6 seats, 20 in rims blah blah

    bad pic...

    newute.jpg

bought some trademe 15x8s with tyres, not really a fan of huge diameter rims on old cars...

got a steering wheel as well of tardme, just need a boss kit now, also getting door trims trimmed in real dark grey velour, much better than plastic...

hopefully itl come out all right, need a decent paint job as well

ive been wanting a good ute for ages and this one has had a hell of alot of money spent on it already, so i can just finish it off.

  3. nzpc never has been and never will be the 'bible' for true car nuts, cos theres simply not enough nuts around to pay $12 a month to buy the mag...

so they aim it at the stereotypical byracer... and theres millions (seemingly) of them...

one thing i do get sick of is the drifting coverage...

once youve seen a pic of the same 5 or 6 cars drifting through a corner than all the pics just look the same... and the articles seem like theyre just recycled from the last round with the results changed...

but thats what all the young fellas wanna see... so thats what gets put in the mag.

il still buy it every now and then, but i prefer to stick with my 4x4 mags, and street machine.

  4. if it was a rare model it may get near that....

the factory LSD etc would help

other wise id say half that....

a quick look on TM didnt help much, only found 2 one GTHO replica for $30k and one stocker same colour as this one, not sold for 10k.

    8) you getn around a bit now warwick....

its one of those cars that on its day to the right person would easily get 15k plus, but its one of those sales where you may be waiting 6months to sell it...

for a fast sale, yeah, 10-12 k, and itl sell within a fortnight i reckon.

  5. Mate low miles & ridgy didgy as to the right person be in the $15000 to $18000 i would say. I don't quite think it would pull $20000 maybe if it was factory 8 but hey you just don't know these days :D

have to agree, hate to say it cos it means my favorite model falcons are getting waaaaay to dear for me now :?

leather interior though? you sure its leather and not vinyl? ive never ever seen a cop car that had leather... especially one from the 70's...

  6. i know, not really oldschool, but hey... just imagine its a ke70 wagon with big tyres 8)

this is my surf when i first got it, after a nice wash 8) all 2.4 litres of turbo diesel slowness... speed cameras are no longer a cause for a minor heart attack 8)

    newsurfxf0.th.jpg

got sick of the puny pajero rims and useless (although brand new) tyres, so went shopping on trademe and found a nice set of 15x8 alloys that have a rather large set of tyres :D measuring in at 33x12.5x15  thats 5 inches taller than my old tyres, and nearly double the width 8)

and this is how it looks after chucking the 33's on, and losing a few minor bits of plastic and steel around the front

    img00005fp0.th.jpg

and this one shows how big my flares are going to have to be :? where will i find flares to fit? if even available... i looked on 4wdbits but couldnt find any flares of any type, or on trademe...

    flaresneededqi3.th.jpg

oh, and i still have my trueno, its just hibernating in the garage until i decide i like it again :P

  7. Maybe $1000 is high for a shabby old Rover with no rego, but $1000 isn't much money. Not compared to what you could be spending maintaining or restoring any car of that age.

Is that a Starion in your avatar? Looks cool, and way faster than that Rover..

yup, is a starion, would definitly buy another one of those... theres one on trademe im keeping an eye on at the mo, but its just a bit more than i wanna spend. (bad timing, i just bought a hilux :? )

  8. They are slow, heavy, usually leak and handle like a bag of boiled shit.

haha, so do the old falcons i like... that dosnt put me off...

might keep looking around though, see what else is around. im in no rush for a project.

    cheers

edit, i just looked at his other listing, and hes obviously a bit of a colector/hoarder/scammer so that explains the possible high price i guess.

  9. yeah i have to agree with the majority....

eagers are not a good tyre for anything other than looks and smoke... and ive had on cars like to escorts and V8 falcons, just a symbol really, does about as much for your handling as a set of modgies....

but if thats what your into sweet.

i always thought yokohama '352's were better tyres and looked very similar to the eagers, but were usually a lot cheaper, dunno if you can still get them.
