  1. Apparently a whole lot of research has gone into when its best to start advertising this kind of thing. If you start early then people start doing it early, if you start late then people don't know about it.

I think there will be a big campaign starting 8-10 days out.

  2. Na man, another guy aye.

Yours has definitely come along way in 12 weeks! Looks great, It's taken me years to get to where mine is now

I won't be at nats this year, the car won't be on the road before then unfortunately. Should be ready for next year though, would be cool to check yours out and get a few on the track together.

  3. Engine Bay & Guards Painted + Stripe Kit Applied

Engine bay and guards are all painted up and the stripe kit is on. Just need to finish under sealing the whole car, then paint for the bumpers, handles, around the windows etc. Some new rubbers might be in order to really set it off as well. Should look nice ones its sitting at the right height :D

  4. I think having a sticker on your window more than 10cm from the edge can cause you to fail a WOF, not to mention having tints over a certain %, so would say sheet steel would be a certain fail?

Don't know about having no window at all though?

  5. looking at this expired ebay listing:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-ANGLIA-PREFECT-TIE-ROD-END-/220846781525

These vehicles all have the same (though the others are probably rarer than your 105)

    -Ford Anglia/Prefect 100E. Popular. 1953-62.

    -Prefect 107E 1959-61.

    -Anglia 105E 106E 1959-67.

    -Prefect 107E 1959-61.

    -Anglia estate 105E 1961-67

That listing went for 5 pounds and says they ship internationally so you might find some other cheap ones on there if you poke around though.

  6. http://www.consumer.org.nz/reports/car-buyers-rights

Paragraph in there that might be helpful. Having a WOF more than a month old when selling a car has something to do with it.

If you buy privately, you're not nearly so well protected. The Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act don't apply, although in some circumstances the Contractual Remedies Act does apply. If a private seller misleads you about the car, you can take them to a Disputes Tribunal.

    Better information here:

    http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/factsheets/41/buying-and-selling.html

Basically says if the WOF is over a month old the car must be advertised AIWI (Near the bottom of the page).

Buyers can insist on a WoF being less than one month old. This helps protect them if faults have developed in the vehicle since the last WoF check.

If the buyer doesn't insist on this, they should give the seller a written undertaking that the vehicle won't be used on the road except for taking it for a new warrant of fitness inspection. This protects the seller – it confirms that the buyer is aware that the current WoF is older than one month.

Vehicles without a current WoF must be advertised for sale 'as is, where is'.

Doesn't make it clear that if you do buy a vehicle with a WOF over a month old, if its your fault for not accepting it as AIWI, or the sellers fault for not advertising it as such.
