The repaird gearstick has been broken yet so hopefully it will be fine for a while,

Swapped the alternator, has fixed my one-flatty-a-week problem!

Removed the louvers, were gathering too much leafage n crap in em.

As for long term plans, it looks like the cortina will be sold in search of a decent luxo/VIP car, prob a toyota v8 of sorts.

went to change gears, hand holding the gear stick ended up punching the center console.............

nana drive it home using the remaining portion of the shifter ....

(my broken stick on the right, the stick out of my old 4spd on the left, silly 4spd stick wouldnt fit )

as you can see its ripped off from here

got home, unscrewed the center console and etc stuffs, took the shifter out, the 4spd one is way way diff mounting to the 5spd, so went n got the shaft welded back on (only cost me 6beers for the welding)

Now 'tina is all fixed, gear sticks on a better angle now too

so if you own a cort or esky, and give your car a beating or two, i suggest you throw a few welds on to strenghten it up!
