Changed to circle headlights and stole my panel vans front spoiler

They are brand new, didnt get any bits of paper what so ever with it. It was only the driver side giving me issues hopefully suited now. Yeah can only move it a 1mm either way only when jackded up once car is down its all tensioned. i have no idea why it slipd out abit all i did was drive down the road turn a couple of times and it had slipd out abit.

With my old skyline i could move the springs by hand aswell never affected its driving tho lol

Sounds like a common issue and not just me

Just had some crazy thoughts come thru my mind just now got a couple of questions

1. when installing spring e.g. dobi etc.. they arent markd in anyway so is there a top/bottom ?

2. when car is jacked up should i beable to sightly turn the spring with my hand?

Just wondering cause i had it slip out of the top hat abit so got me wondering have i screwed something up and put it in wrong

pretty happy how it is 50mm in back 38mm in front, rebleed the brakes now they work super awesome.

tomorrow will be the circle headlight conversion and take off the tow bar.

Will be putting these in today along with new shocks for the front!

I have the same flares on my panel van been a year + now, never had any issues with them

Not much of a update just put new shocks in the rear the ones that came out were pretty poo'd!

Now to do the front and put some 2" blocks in the back and lowering springs in the front

motor sounds good, anything else been done to it apart from the cam ?

Well was driving home today had just finished raining, just about to slow down and brake to go around a corner and over the raliway tracks. Next thing i know is the car not turning heading towards a fence front brake had lockd up all i could do is enjoy going towards the fence lucky. Before the fence was quite abit of dirt which brought me to my stop!!! Just missed a pole thing it took off my wing mirror and left some white paint on the side of my car.

Honestly have no idea how it happend drove past the same spot for the last 8 years im putting it down to wet/slipy road hopefully not some problem with my brakes somewhere!!!

Lucky noone was around reversed out and drove on my way lol very very lucky

Took it for a wof today passed with flying colours, The guy that did the wof couldnt get over how well the interior was looked after and had no rust in the chassis.

he even wanted to buy it

Tidy the bonnet up, Was just surface rust where the paint had faded.

Just put in brand new ball joints so should pass a wof now hopefully

just deciding now if i should take off the rest of the plastic trim around the car or put the rest of it back on lol hmm

It seems the bonnet is the worst thing wrong with the car that i can see atm.

Well picked this up yesterday from bulls body not too bad. Seems to be all oringal very happy with the interior tidiest ive had in a escort so far.

Will put up pics today, Plans get it rego/wof put my 13x7 hotwires on lower it try keep it as orginal as poss and when i got the coin rebuild the 1600

paint still wet and drying/glossing atm heaps brighter then the picture but u can see the differents in the paint also made flares apart of the car

Well had lost interest in this for very long time lol, gearbox blew up , broken win screen etc.. finally started doing things on it again.

It does have a cert now tho so thats all good

Replaced gearbox put a lighten flywheel on aswell.

slowly painting it as weather allows me my garage not big enough to paint whole thing at once so doing it in sections but should be ok with the paint im using, im in no way a expect panel better or painter lol learning as i go. All im after is a "tidy" finish

Yeah not sure how rooted it is but for months the brakes barely workd and they would keep going soft

and yeah after putting engine back in i had no brakes haha.

Yea was just a real mission to get to it all with the extractors in the way running a 2L

Will take it into town and get it checkd over.

Hey man, what sort of master brake cylinder did u use? and how did u hook it up to the brake pedal ?

just asking cause mine has fucked out and boy was it a mission to get it all off pretty keen to have same sort of setup as urs

also been finding rust maybe i should stop looking had to put 2 plates in drivers side floor and just found some behind the seat under the tray

finally fixed it dizzy timing was 180 degrees out

had a local guy come around hes a old school mechanic fixed it in 5 minutes he double checkd my timing everything else was bang on, he told me to put it back together and said see u driving past soon

he didnt even wait to see if it was going to start he knew it would be sweet lol
