Hey, was browsing thru the forum and came across this topic, just wondering what those dytech mufflers sound like ? ive been looking for a new muffler for ages kinda like those.. 2 in x 4 Turn down tip 180mm Barrell with rounded ends shouldnt look too gay on the mk5 cortina lol

and for those guys with them how you got yours setup just exhaust then the dytech muffler ? or you got other mufflers up front like cobys or something?

any info would be awesome

Damn you must of been gutted si that would have been a nice upgrade for the cortina.

Is it worth getting the head ported/shaved or whatever on the 2.0L?

and what about new cams what would you recommend ?

what kinda performance gains would i get also whats the average price.

or any suggestions on how i could get more power/performance out of the 2.0L

You running a turbo on your 2.0L engine ? *i cant really see from that pic it might just be the orginal manifold their * If so what kind of perfomance increase it give you over extractors? and is it worth putting one on ? and what kind of price range are you looking at for a decent turbo to fit it ?

Yeah not sure what i really want i should just leave it as it is

because its got the sound and some performance im sure it could be better tho but none the less it goes/sounds alright.

im probably better off getting the timing fixed/good tune up and get a good air filter for my weber carb it still has the orginal air filter on it big ugly circle one haha!

Ill probably end up getting better performance then what i would with a whole new exhaust system. Maybe new exhaust system could be something i get done after the car has been painted and stuff

Hey, im just wondering is it worth spending the money to get a decent exhust system ? e.g a big bore system ?

I currently have a coby upfront and a muffler at the back. it sounds alright but can barely hear it from inside the car, i feel it needs to be abit louder

Im thinking it time for a new exhust system because my pipes are pretty old and rusty

what would you guys recommend ? and what kinda exhust systems you running on your oldschool cars?

My ride is a 1981 Ford Cortina MK5 havnt done much to it just the standard 2.0L engine with coby extractors and weber carbs 13" mags

hopefully next year ill have it lowered / bodykit / tints / 5speed gearbox etc..
