also; rx4 sedans don’t come up for sale often, will be interesting to see what this sells for
https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/mazda/other/listing/2854549331
I have been in contact with then new owner and he was saying the seller declined higher offers apparently he let it go to someone who would appreciate it and not hack it up so to speak.

Yes I saw a white one sitting today but it wasn't in a shed as such

Why does this one keep passing through hands ?
Looks like a good car except for the clear coat issues.
But is about to get a forth owner in the time Ed has kept his .
Have been saving for a 3100 Chev , but might have a go at this if it doesn't go for drug monies .
Old mate Gary spent a considerable amount of time and money on this Rx7 including an engine rebuild/engine bay resto however the engine builder didn't do his job properly and the engine never ran properly and was sold off at a great loss, the next owner Tim spent abit of money on it also including an engine rebuild, unsure why the current owner is selling it as overall its a solid car just needs a paint job etc and a few bits here and there sorted really.

If any piners are in fact keen for Gary's/Tim's old S3 turbo the reserve has now been met at $16,500.
Worth it for the spares and original books/catalogues. The spare rear spoiler alone cost Tim an eye-watering amount.
Not sure if it comes on the XR-4s but that would be super lush.
When Tim sold the RX7 to the now current owner he didn't want the SSR's or the lowered suspension.

Round headlights are US spec only
No-one out side of Japan got the 4 door R100
As a side note, The Americans didn't get 4 door Rx3s either,(well very very few) only coupes and wagons,
Don't forget Puerto Rico had round headlight R100's also, RX3 sedans are a rare thing in the USA for sure
-
Killerbee, are you the chap who owns a couple of other R100's over in Canada?
-
-
Always been hens teeth, never sold here
R100's were sold here in NZ new ( possibly 12 cars but not confirmed) before Mazda NZ existed and were imported by a company called Champion motors in Christchurch.

Macweld Engineering Drury does an excellent job of wheel repairs and polishing

Ex; ZEROIN??
Is this a recent pic, havent seen it for years if it is - still 20B?
Yep thats it, although that pic is a few years old, car is still virtually the same still however the Simmons are going wider at the rears along with tubs and hes going to chuck the factory twin turbos back on the 20b just to be different.

Re coils why wouldn't you just put new ones on it instead of faffing around with second hand ones?
Exactly, I'am going to order new coils for my FD soon through Mazda (ex Japan), can get a price for the 12aT ones while I'am there if they are available, do you have a part # Ed?

Iám not really sure what is going on in here and perhaps Iám missing something but there seems to be alot of peoples comments and opinions which are totally out the gate, I cannot believe what Iám reading.

Isn't the RZ the one to get? Aside from a spirit R
Yes the Series 8 Type RZ is a much rarer car than the Series 8 Spirit R
-
The RS model also has a 4.3 diff as apposed to the other models which have a 4.1 diff ratio but the Touring X auto has a 3.909 ratio, believe it or not the RS is supposed to be a sporty version and yet with the larger brakes and 17"wheels it makes it heavier than my Type RB-S model which has the rear wiper and cigarette lighter deleted and obviously comes factory on 16" wheels.

Some place in between Hamilton and Te Awamutu.
Yes that sounds right sold them to a lady building an RX2 sedan years ago
-
In the last year I've managed to hoard 2 times series 4 rx2 front guards, 1 times series 4 rx2 valance and 1 times series 3/4 rx2 beaver panel sitting in the shed. Know of a NOS rx2 sedan bonnet too. Such a nice feels.
I had and sold a pair of NOS S4 RX2/616 front guards, 3x NOS front valance panels and a used S4 bonnet, did you get your panels from Hamilton by any chance?
-
Yes its Earth Green!

That's my old rx3, guy selling it needs to be a bit more honest viewing a must. not original guard 325ks doors bogged back sill under rear window has panel all the way along welded in. spare wheel well has bad patches needs replacing. and has rust hole in rhs rear wheel well.
So you purchased the RX3 off John originally?

Ok so I've found out a bit more about the NZ new savanna, my mate has spoken to his old car painter who did a touch up on it years ago. The painter said If definitely had the square tail lights like the aus version and also on the rear passenger window had a GT badge, so this sounds more like what It should be like
When you say square tailights what type are you referring to? do mean the Savanna hex talights?
-
Brian knows of someone else with a savanna coupe, but there wasn't many that came here, he thought about 9 in total, either way I guess it's a rear thing with the brown, he gave me the chassis number that was cut out of the firewall so could possibly track its history.
Are any of these NZ new Savanna coupes registered as Savannas at all as I did a rego check on one and it comes up 1975 RX3, did they have the Series 3 12a grilles and Savanna front lower lips at all? The brown interiors were found mainly in later model Aus spec RX3's and 808's so I'am not really sure why these so called NZ new Savanna coupes make them a Savanna if only Savanna rear 1/4 badges were applied.
-
Still would look good on my front lawn...
Paint it red and it could be the 808's evil rusty twin!

This rx3 coupe project is back for sale. Is it the same seller as last time? Though the car was in auckland last time around?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/mazda/other/auction-803583485.htm
I really don't see anything that would suggest that it is a Savanna to say the least, I doubt it is.
Rotary piner thread.
