  1. i put that redline mt90 oil in my sr20 g/box hoping it would help, but it didn't change a thing, but the box was probally too worn already, good way to waste $120

yea i tired it in my l200 gearbox hoping it would help my shifting but no luck, i think its more to help shock loading etc and breakages rather than wear/worn parts

  2. i used por15 on my diff housing and my control arms

scoured the fuck out of both and it worked well on my arms but it has chipped off in a few places on the diff like people have said it does

sandblasting should be sweet for it to key into, best ur guna get id say

  3. Ok, cheers man, what will happen if its not?

The thing im confused about is if it was rotated 90 degrees to be the same as on a standard RB it would not be coming right out of the bottom of the core either.

Will take pic in a sec to show you what i mean

usually ends up will a build up of oil in the core which in turn bypasses the real oil seal resulting in smokey joe out the exhaust

  4. Where the rod steps down after the spline and you need to weld to add material is the same as Hilux axles I think. Is this how they also shorten Hilux axles properly?

    Gaz

hilux axles you usually need to get ones far longer than what you need so you can respline them from the larger diameter part

or otherwise you just trim the ends of the spline (still uses original spline)

  5. Its mechanical, the electric switch and circuit is fine, but when it is scewed in to the box and reverse is engaged it doesnt touch the switch, and it is the correct one.

    wierd.

you have a mitsi box correct?

check when you take the reverse sender out of the box that there is a small ballbearing in there

    its what contacts

they drop out easy as if sumone has taken the switch out at some stage

  6. Whats the deal with running 4 point harnesses for the street? is it legit as long as you have the correct mounting points etc?

I've heard you can get away with them in your car as long as you still keep the factory belt, and use that for road use.

Don't quote me on that though

that sounds like a load of shit. that making the car less safe which just about immediatly means fail . ill check tomorrow in our book .

not sure bout here but think thats the deal in oz

to do with getting out of car quickly etc if fire or in water

  7. I have bellhousing to fit s5 rx7 gearbox to motor. (mitsi box shitty at high rpm shifts)

yea iv found they suck balls too, gbox swap is next on my list aswell

weird my box has been mint so far, probably just jinxed it !

i havent had any issues with mine as far as breaking goes but the two iv had have made me think i was driving a bus
