  1. Hi, They are the original plates which were pretty knocked about so I stripped them , masked letters and repainted background. The letters are showing there age and could do with a refresh. I understand that NZTA are looking at the rules regarding number plates and what you can do with them at the moment. Having them skimed would be great. Will be in touch. Cheers

  2. Hi all, Have just fitted a set of Pacemaker extractors for my escort build and need a bit of advice on what size pipe I should use for rest of exhaust system. The motor is Kent 1600 with mild GT cam, ported and a few other tweeks. The extractors tailpipe is 44mm but have been told this can be changed. Cheers Peter

  3. Someone might know what finish is on the Ford and Escort badges that are on the boot of a MK2 Escort Sports. My ones don't seem to have any chrome on them but it looks like ther might be a small amount of black. Any thoughts on how they should be finished would be appreciated.

  4. Have been puting wiring loom back in and have some spare wires that I have to find a home for. Lefthand plug is for hazard lights. Unknown are  the 3 wires in one lead, then a single red wire just by itself. Next are three wires with a curved plug on the end that looks like it plugs into switch by ashtray moulding. Next I have a small light on two wires which I can't remember unpluging. Any help would be appreciated.

  5. Behind the back seat is a card partition which  divides boot area from interior of car. Mine is a bit of a mess so will replace it. Traced a pattern onto some 3mm thinline and cut out. Punched attackment holes and primed. Finished off in black. Just need to find some foam and it will look just like new.

  6. Well that was harder than expected. Getting the glass into the door required getting the metal divider channel at the right angle and the glass in bailey channel on both sides. Could of done with another pair of hands but all done now. Put in window regulator and fitted weather strips. Works well.

Also started to repair parcel tray which has seen better days. A few holes and one of the little tabs has broken off. Taped back of hole and filled hole with filler. Will sand off so I have a good surface to glue vinyl too. Also made a metal suport for tab as coudn't think of any other way of attaching it.
