Yeah it's running an electric pump, turned on full speed all the time.
When the thermostat is out, it pushes water around like crazy.is the water circulating through the radiator too quickly to cool? this was a problem on some cars (when thermostat removed) but i can't remember what type(probably ford V8s)

Yeah, so drags!
Mega fun day, got heaps of runs in.
Bit slippery on the track so no new best time.
Quickest was a 13.6 and 100mph, 2.2 60ft.Awesome to not hear of many issues!
so what's the feeling with the slicks, would they be better at any different pressures or is it purely track prep or is there too much grunt now and it's blowing the tyres off?
engine still in perfect condition? just run in, good for another 200,000kms at 8500rpm ? -
kind of yellow,
XD falcon with original plates (Vic Au)
had a bit of rust in the guards and the headrests look wrong for XD (possibly XA to XC bench seat in it, was column shift)

My name is Dave, thanks for listening to my story
My brain hurts, but i think this kind of thing is also a strong feature on carbs especially if too big to give good vacuum signal at big throttle percentage and low revs

From the article that said on the headline "Quicker than a Dodge Challenger r/t"
i hope to see it's quicker with new tune and exhaust, and some more comparisons put up.. like, faster than a lambo uses less fuel than a prius, sounds better than tesla, fits in smaller parking spots . faster than a speeding bullet train doing 190kmh

Looks pretty slammed during cornering haha
how does it survive the ripple strips on the corners? sounds like a suspension torture test in the videos.
does it need a better radiator or just a new one or are there any air flow/ducting improvements possible?

If I had a flow bench setup already
does this mean you are making one? or borrowing one?
i saw a build thread years ago of a home made flow bench that worked well.

i can't remember if this build was in this thread..
but Alan has his own channel now with 82,900 subscribers, working for Dave Sparks to pay the bills and still goes to build the fortress and work on his machines/trucks etc in blog update videos.

solid repair on the door hinge. is there a thicker pin available and just drill the hole out bigger?
the current door hinge repair reminds me of the falcon XD-XH . early cars had no bush, but later ones had plastic bushes that flogged out heaps sooner (easier to fix at least) aftermarket has made brass bushes.
might be something you can use/adapt for the other side if need be if the ford pins are long enough for your hinges. (no idea on dimensions but i assume you'd get an answer if enquiring with sellers)

However it's also worth noting that it basically sounds the same, but quieter.
If it can end up quieter but still sound like this, it's gonna be cool as!video not loading
how about the switchable mufflers that have a straight through or bypass in them. VAREX
a mate of mine has one on his 408ci V8, (after being scalded by the cops in a drive through breath test who couldn't hear themselves think with the prior mufflers, it's now mild V8 sounding at idle/low speeds for coming or going from home etc)

Yeah the idle is a bit rough as well, basically I've got a 4k with a 3/4 race cam.
would it do a 15.xx second 1/4 mile or is it slower than a stock one?

Time for more fuckery, the tyre pressure warning light is on in the Carib, I cannot imagine that it actually can monitor the pressures?
I disconnected the battery to check the ecu temp sensor was working properly, the light came on when I reconnected.....
Any help?
any chance the spare tyre has a pressure sensor and it's low?

If I can't find the wrist pin in the sump I might go for a walk near where it blew up and see if I can find it haha.
if it's in a paddock near by, be sure to flatten the grass in a circular fashion while working the metal detector, this will ensure maximum chance of finding the lost bits..

There is also the challenge of getting an NA 1.3 to run 13's.......?
surely with 11,000rpm it's possible? the head and cams might get there in the smaller capacity if the rods can handle it?

These speakers require some maintenance first... link to pic
will you be fixing this yourself? i fixed an 8" LS400 lexus subwoofer using a new seal from simply speakers about 10yrs ago.
not sure they have square ones? or what you had planned

in My opinion with all the Barries you will have drooling or frowning upon the engine in there, I'd make them Look as awesome as possible and have your story lined up along with a home made oldschool engine research and developments badge welded onto them.
that way you can say, well they spent 14hrs on a bench(work bench?) at various air speeds(windy days?) with the ideal tuned length optimised for ultimate (make up appropriate cromulent word here) grinbergs.
going by Allen Millyard's home made mufflers glorious sounds I'd almost be asking him directly what he'd do.(he responds to youtube messages on his videos, not sure if you'd get a direct sharn with him though?)

I was curious how much the cross sectional area would be affected by having all this extra junk in the way.
Taking a cut at what looks like the worst spot, and we've still got cross sectional area equivalent of a 74mm circle. There's still way more bellmouth area than there was with the silvertop throttlesthat's exactly what i was wondering next? would there be any restriction/turbulence with this in the bell mouth?

4l60 from early commodores vn-vp wouldn't be hard to to obtain yes they break if throw lots of power at them but you won't be nor drag racing. Probably be a bellhousing adapter floating around hotrod groups if you put word out.
i saw one of these adapted to a ford falcon pre crossflow (1975 ish) engine via adaptor plate to the engine, so that could be a way to bolt it up(was custom made, no one stocked it)
Castlemaine Rod Shop (CRS Australia) used to have a bell housing (can't remember for what trans) for the "Toyota Hemi" but can't find a listing anymore

talking about the ESP tribute
Global trim(Australia) also do the ESP gold paint for the snowflake wheels in a pressure pack can. (ones with the side moulds etc)

came across this gem today, got an interview with Street Machine at Drag Challenge.
been watching the subscriber count climb from 600 this morning to 700 odd already.
AWESOME channel to subscribe to i think, if you are interested in drag racing? or the mighty Honda K24 engine? this channel is awesome. part one of a build into a 1983 celica and is doing drag challenge currently running Mid 8 second 1/4mile unofficially (smoke broke the beam on one run)
