I've built the frame below ready for the body to come off, first time for me, has anyone done similar? Not sure if I've got enough bars in it, or if any more would be overkill -

Windscreen out in one piece is a massive win. Dash, steering column & pedals also out, not far off a bare shell now.

Doors stripped, chrome trims removed & all glass apart from windscreen removed. Loads of issues found.

The lower control arm bushes arrived from Thailand yesterday, with these fitted I've been able to rebuild one of the front corners, including using a home made spring compressor.

@sheepers - lower control arm bushes fresh from Thailand. Drop me a PM if you want the guys contact details passing on -
Still waiting on some bushes to be able to rebuild the front end, so I set off repairing the small hole in the inner rear arch. 10 minutes later and things had escalated: Managed to make a start and do the first patch today.

A few hours with a wire wheel and the front end of the chassis is now fully primered/undersealed, all the front suspension items given the same treatment too. Hopefully get the front end rebuilt over weekend and move on to something else.

Top arm refitted with the polybushes and new balljoint installed. Also mockfitted the front hub/shocker/lower arm, while waiting for the lower control arm bushes to arrive. Everything seems to fit as it should which is reassuring.

Our Superpro contact in the UK has closed due to Covid-19, of anyone has a contact for the bushes discussed above, or has any for sale, it would be apprecoated -
More progress today - full hub rebuild with fresh wheel bearings, and some minor rust repairs to the steering arm guard.

@sheepers someone on the facebook groups provided the below info - Part # 48654-30010 was the part number for the lower control arm for the MS75. This was superseded to 48654-30020. In date & production order, the part fitted the following Crowns: RS, MS5# 9/67 > 1/71; RS60, MS6#, MS75 2/71 > 9/74; RS80, MS8#, MS95 10/74 > 8/79; RS110, MS11#, LS110 9/79 > 7/83; YS120, MS12#, LS120 8/83 > 8/87. Superpro stock the 30020 under SPFK1129K - measurements below. Will check at weekend if it looks like it will fit. -

@sheepers - any ideas on stockists for Lower Control Arm bushes? Superpro don't stock these. -
More progress over weekend, started to fit the new bushes, and now on with a full front end strip down

Got the engine turning today - looks like the torque converter was the cause of the issues - anyone had this before?
