Yeah yeah okay, call it motoring journalism. Most of these things will rot where they stand.
As for prices, it all seemed reasonable - I asked for some parts for 70s era Mitsubishis to ship to friends back home and it was all sub-$50.
Condition wise, my observation was that the stuff in the sheds seems to be saleable and the stuff outside is rotten.

As described on retrorides?
That's the one! Sort of ran out of puff writing it all out but should have part 2 of the video up once I find a decent enough computer.

It's a nice area, and I did laugh at how valuable the e type must be compared to his other tat. Perceived value anyway!

Last bits of upstairs and into the workshop. The guys were busy but I got to meet Colin in the yard later on which was cool. I stepped through the workshop (in the UK, all of this would be cordoned off for health and safety reasons), saw the nice display of restored vehicles and stepped out into the daylight.

Straight upstairs to the main parts stores. Surrounded by parts. Steering wheels, grilles, lights. Jaw is still on the floor. My favourite game was spotting all the parts I could recognise. Found a nice stash of GE Sigma bits i could have used a few years back! Nice elevated view of the workshop where I could hear Colin and the other chaps tinkering away on customer cars.

Okay you'll have to bear with me, I'm being a total tourist here and to you guys you've either been or a yard like this is pretty normal? I dunno. I'll stop talking and go on to the pictures.
I'm posting this in more or less the same order I took them, I hope you'll all appreciate my day out from my eyes.
First I headed right from the front door and round the back to the parts stores. Already my jaw is on the floor. Literally every part for every car and a small stash of "nice" cars, obviously the family saves for later. It's nice to hear they're saving up to make this a proper museum eventually and I was happy to donate my $20 the cause.
There was cool little Charade here but it was too buried to take a picture.

Awesome! I'm just about to make it down that way in my travels. Is it easy to find?

Sorry for asking a question a little unrelated to your car but what's the deal with the deceased estate with all the cool old cars rotting away? Is there any chance of me getting in there for a wander around with a camera or is it a "who you know" kinda deal?

Hey guys, just moved to NZ from the UK. I've been a regular on Retro Rides for years and I've been recommended to come here and say hi! I'm coming to the mere mere drags event to see some skids and racing. Hope to meet some of you.
Anyone know where I could pick up some second hand tools? Do you have swapmeets and similar here?

Dream cars all here, one after the other. Kind of crushing to see them squashed into the mud but nothing lasts forever huh?
