Richards VG

Here's my Valiant its a VG hardtop that was built in Aussie in October 1970 and was first registered in NZ in November 1970. I purchased the vehicle in 2008 it was last registered in 1994 and the guy I brought it off had it from 2004 to 2008 and hadn't done any work on it. I purchased it in 2008 and pulled it to bits and got it road worthy by 2011. It had just a small amount of rust in the bottom of each front guard but apart from that it was good it was a Dunedin car and had been undersealed which may have been why it had minimal rust. It has the original Hemi 245 in it and its done 116000 miles it has the original auto as well. I took it from Palmerston North to the Kaikora hop last year and drive it every weekend somewhere even if its just to the shop. The mags I brought on trade me and the only bits missing when I got it were the chrome side moulds under the doors which I got off a guy in Napier. I have just recently fitted better halogen lights from Hemi Performance which are way better than hanging out the window with your lighter which was brighter than the lights. Its a good original car with the factory paint still in the boot and under the bonnet. I got it painted close to the original colour but a bit more metallic.
