    Yeap, RD28 powered Gloria wag.

Sounds like you spotted my old Gloria, now owned by @Beaver

Yeah when I spotted it I was drawn to stalk its thread and I believe it was @Beaver. From memory it was purchased in Wairoa and I cant remember too much more about it other than its RD28 power.. And it looked damn slick cruising past me as a gawked in the wing mirror watching it heading the opposite direction to me never to me haha Never seen one come up for sale either, they must be fairly uncommon yeah? Do they share the driveline and such of their R31 counterparts?

Y31 Gloria, so even better than an R31

Wait just a hot darn minute... If this is a diesel gloria wagon? Unless there's more than one in the group i've seen one (with OS sticker) travelling through my town with mountain bikes on the back summer or three ago and I needed a minute! They are damn fine

the problem is most likely to be RFB - F, more to the point - not FB marketplace. Because everyone wants drifting RFB, it is a sellers' market, which can be tricky especially dealing with backwards flat peak brigade.

Like I whinged about a couple of months back, I had two vehicles listed on TM, both fckd me round after winning. On FB, one sold within a couple of days, the other about a week-ish. I was pretty apprehensive with FB marketplace to begin with but after having bought and sold a few (yes, even RFB stuff) they are no worse than TM in my opinion.

Good to hear a success story I browse it all the time and have bought the odd Knick knack here and there but I haven't trusted it enough to pay someone and expect them to post the goods yet lol pickup only so far.

I only started browsing the vehicles due to getting bugger all results on TM (5k or less, body type station wagon 1970 - 1990) either I'm out of touch with prices or everyone's holding on to their summer cruisers till the weather packs up. I've only just scraped up enough to start seriously looking but I swear I've seen car after car pass me by and now I have a bit of fish to get me started the cars have dried up bahaha just my luck

Facebook market place is filled with fuckwits basically. At least with Trademe they have had to pay to list so are motivated to sell.

Mm yes I had hope because the seller actually had a price on the listing rather than the $1234. Which roughly translates into I'm not really interested in selling unless someones going to overpay or mistakenly trade to my advantage. Gotta love these modern day hustlers

If the conversion was done with all factory parts and there's nothing automatic left in there to give it away then it's unlikely to ever be an issue, however it's not technically legal, even though depending on the car, that can be fucking retarded, with some cars though, there are a bunch of differences between manual and auto chassis so it's impossible to switch it over without getting cert to ensure that it's legit.

Also, some people do dumb shit.  Just look at the stuff Clint has to deal with.  Unreal how people are so willing to bodge and then pay for a check and complain when it's not done to any vague sort of standard other than "will it act like a turd".

I wouldn't worry about the RFB nonsense but a look over of the car is mandatory. Some people just don't like dealing with questions (even though they are selling a car).

Yeah my theory was that they were available with the 20det so you'd imagine you could bolt her in with all Nissan parts (assumption) and it wouldn't attract further attention. But if it's a hack job with modified mounts/cross members that might be a different story but yeah. It hadn't put the off I just wanted to get the car viewed and more pics. But yes I guess personally I'm just the type to mention everything and anything selling any thing really, and expect the same when I'm the buyer. Early days fingers crossed Mr talkative gets back to me sooner rather than later.

  6. So I messaged the dude earlier today and over the course of several hours I have asked:

Me: Is the wagon still available?

    Response: yes.

Me: I see it's manual running the 20det box was this a factory manual body?

    Response: No.

Me: So does this just for under the radar as your listing says fresh wof or is it certified?

    No response.

So a few hours later sensing this person inst enjoying an interested buyer wanting to know anything about what they are trying to buy, I flicked another message saying I had arranged old mate @englishy1 to view on my behalf cause he's in the area tomorrow and is a GC like that. I also asked if he firm on his asking price thinking talk of money might incite some kind of communication..

Also the seller has rfb in their name.. not gonna lie it's kinda giving me a bad vibe about the whole thing now. Am I asking too much? Is this just what the Facebook marketplace is like? The listing didn't even have interior pics of course people are gonna have questions right? Maybe I'm getting to old for this shit hahaha.

  7. I'm gonna have to reread that listing lol that changes the game a bit.. yeah nah not really into the big wheels I'd be happy with some period correct steels or some older mesh style alloys but yeah more after a Sunday drive cruiser than a street weapon. But yeah who knows.. the call to the wild might be too strong with time hahaha

there is one in masterton on FB, listed a day ago on nissan buy sell swap [page

Yeah I just saw that one this morning it's running a 20det and it's manual which got me frothing. But I've never taken a car through cert process how much of a pain in the ass would it be? The sedans did come with that engine in gts trim so not sure if they'd want bigger brakes etc or if it would be a matter of some drive shaft loops and slap a plate on.. but it's definitely got me thinking lol

  9. Only snag is the two I was looking at are down south and I'm a northerner might keep my eyes peeled for something on the same island as I am.. Or go full ruthless and but it sight unseen and transport the thing? But I don't get a good vibe on that action it would be just my luck it's a shit heap one wof away from the scrap heap

  10. It's been a long time between drinks but the slush fund has recovered a bit from house purchasing and I'm hungry for something wagoney. I'm thinking of taking a look at some r31 wagons.. question is are they old enough to be old school? Always had a fetish for the boxy wagons and you don't see too many on the road. Alas no black plates? Will I be shunned? My goal is to get my ass to next year's wagnats.. Unsure if the vehicle in question fits the bill?
