Ya say it's an rx3 and they write rx3 on the form and then print rx3 on the tag.

So technically I could list my Ford falcon as a rx3? Also he said there is no option for 808. Still a little confused here.

Can someone please explain to me how the latest black 1974 808/rx3 on trademe can have an 808 firewall stamp but be registered as a rx3 on the cert plate?? Pretty sure the window rego must say rx3 too. Cheers.

Shit Kicker that's pretty sick ay mate. Kind of a burgundy/red/brown. I googled brown Cedric and a bunch of mug shots of black dudes came up. Guys by the name of Cedric I assume haha!!

Google BMW brown colour, I think that would look boss. Go well with chrome too.

Also steer well away from white interiors.

Ahhhhh this is painful, went through this for months with the impala.

Go with your first instint/vision for the car in my opinion.

I had always pictured the 64 as gunmetal with black roof and interior and very nearly ended up painting it a number of other colours, but kept coming back to my original pic of the car.

 

Id go for something timeless, maybe period (depending on what path of build style your going for) and something that will look good obviously. 

Hate to paint it an "in" colour now that will look shit or dated in a few years.

Brown has always been timeless, looked like shit and never been an "in" colour haha. Also looked into two tone which is about as big of a gamble as brown.....

I'm sure a lot of you have been in the same boat.

Ive been racking my brain day and night trying to decide on a colour to paint my r100. I want to go outside the norm of red, blue and other basic common colours. To decide on an outside colour - the interior colour needs to suit. I have had my heart set on an all white interior forever but could sway away if need be.

I have been researching some browns. Seems to be some really nice browns out there these days. That's a different colour for sure. Would be a balzy move to paint the car brown and have an all white interior.

Anyway just wondering your guys thoughts regarding interior and exterior colours outside of the norm.

I guess every old car increases in value over time, as there gets less and less of them.

that isn't really ever a deciding factor for me.

I've just always wanted a first gen rx7, and as much as the old school Christchurch bogan in me wants, low, loud,flares and eagers.

I keep things for a long time, and I know I'll be happier, longer, with a super tidy, original one.

Yeh what is a completely stock original RX3 worth??? It's so hard to say because I haven't seen one for sale in NZ for along time.

Old RX prices are getting up there alright. Last week this was listed for $95,000. Big price drop but still......

Yeh man it's a left hooker. All rotarys in North America are LHD apart from an abundance of S4 rx7's. Yes they were sold in the USA but mainly in the north western states then some of them funnelled up into Canada. As you can see it has the round headlight front instead of the square which is more popular in Aus/NZ. I think the round headlight r100 was only released in the states and Japan. I could be wrong though. The 4 door was never released in the states, only the coupe.

Here's a screen shot of the for sale add. The 250,000 is a misprint because he had his son put he add up who didn't know how much the car had done. The speedometer actually says 30,000 miles.
