Not that he has bought wheels and that they dont fit the Toyota shit.

    Unfortunatly.

but yeah, Given its drum front, it could be done. But you would litterly be doing the same job on the front as you would on the back to make it work

I figured this would be the case, may as well do the back as the 4x114.3 pattern is more common (pr so I think) but also yeah I already got's the wheels to suit!

Got drum rears too which makes for interesting driving coming down the steep hills :) eQNVBdgxPKh8HXXPoMA5umy98YEhWGdn5LZFN8R7

Depending on the style of the holden axles flange face, yes you CAN drill between existing holes (assuming the material is there.... usually it is not)

Its possible but i personally wouldn't do it by hand without having something nice to position the new holes, eg, once you have determined where the new holes are to go in relation to the old and you know for sure that there is enough meat there to support them- you could have a jig laser cut that nicely slides over the existing studs and has holes in each position that you'd drill your pilot holes through for the new studs. Easy.

Also, make sure you use hubcentric rings

Yep, you can actually buy something like this..

Basically bolts onto old stud pattern and gives you the new stud holes. Bit pricey though for what it is. I will have to take the hub off and examine the meat inbetween.

    And get some hubcentric rings..

Assuming you don't have full floating hubs at the back...

You can probably redrill the axle flange and drum to the new pattern, if there aren't any odd holes there already, kinda like this

    I wouldn't use trailer hubs.

Spacer/adaptors work, but they do require certification.

Another option is to get new front hubs made with the Holden pattern, although that would be some $$$.

This pretty much exactly what my first thought would be. Will take them. Off and double check the axle flange to check there's nothing wierd going on there.

  4. Sorry guys  this is the lack of my mechanical knowledge shining through lol.

Full picture is that it's my Toyota hiace campervan and that is has had a holden 202 conversion. So my hiace has the drive shaft to the rear axle which obviously drives the car forward lol.

I believe  that the axle is actually a holden one hence it has holden pattern. But I would like it to be Toyota 5x114.3 if possible. I just spent a small fortune on getting some sweet mags and cargo tyres all round to find they didn't fit on  the back. So was wondering about swapping the pattern.

Wondered about the possibility of drilling the new holes and putting studs in.  I would have drill between the existing holes. Would this need certificatation?

  5. Hey guys.

Just wanting some ideas of solutions in changing the PCD of my rear hubs. My front axle is standard Toyota 5x114.3 and my rears I'm assuming (will measure  tomorrow) is a holden axle so 5x120..

I've seen some toyota pattern hubs with holden bearings.. Can't seem to find a link right now.

Would these work. The reason I ask is that I only see them for trailers and wonder if they would cope on a 2 ton vechicle.

I have also seen spacers that are adapters too. Such as these.

Are these safe? Somehow I don't feel like I could trust them.

    Any other interesting solutions?

Seen this in action lol. Good back up plan!

Fridge is 1600 high just measured the hatch back can only fit 1500 in it

Have to go out to Avalon tonight but if I put in the back of the rubbish compactor truck it will look very second hand

I wouldn't want you going out of your way anyway since you're giving it to me free! I'll be round with kickers trailer :)

  8. Hey guys,

Super cheeky request. But I'm trying to save money here.

Does anyone have a trailer I could borrow this weekend and next weekend? Just a normal trailer that you would rent from the garage type trailer. It's for moving fridges. :)

Payment in home brew beers or box of store brought beer/wine

  9. Sorry for slow reply.  Been in the middle of nowhere with no signal!

I have mastered the art of driving it without it overheating too much. I piss people off behind me but tbh it's their fault they are pussies for overtaking me haha.

Appreciate the offer Al.  I know you're really busy too so double appreciate it!

I learnt a quite a lot working on this so far so you'll have to let me "help"  out from time to time haha.

I probably won't swap the cams unless I do an engine rebuild which will depend on how much I need to do that.  If I also did that I would probably try and source a 12 port head as I've been told by a 202 guru that it increases torque as well as cooling capabilities.

Engine flush as well as rodding the rad with a proper fan is next on the menu I think.  As well as sorting all the time shit that doesn't work inside the van lol.
