  1. Hi team ,

What sort of ballpark figure should I be asking for a Nissan rb25de neo and rb30de standard engines , both reasonable kms at 140,000 each .

I have an option for supercharged rebuilt Lexus v8 so will look to go this route now. Is 4k for the pair reasonable?

  2. Thought I had better chime in on this thread.

Ive purchased  6 of the 2.0 versions and all auto except 1.

engines would use 5-6 litres of oil between services when towing 2 ton diggers around.

vw fix was to install a longer dip stick and red lash the ecu so low oil didn’t com on so soon.

usual egr replacement every 70- 100,000 kms

    pinion seals every 40,000 kms

a little under powered for towing but being awd  and running on aftermarket 20” wheels it out handles Every other Ute I’ve driven.

super comfy and wider interior , cool features and way more capable off road compared to my wild track.

30, 000 kms to pads and rotors when towing in a auto

depricate super quick , we would put 13k of extras on them so a 75 k Ute gets expensive really quick .

dont buy one over 120 kms or your asking for big bills.

would I buy a second hand one , no way .

  3. We done a lot of tests about 10 yrs ago and 91 check out to be about 89 octane

93 about 91 octane and 98 was a true 98 but the most troubling thing was the water content in the fuel from bulk tanks .

proably due to surface water content or condensation.

if filling from frequently fill tanks this eliminates a lot of the condensation, the size of the bulk storage should be suited to the amount of fuel expected to be extracted from it etc

  4. I got pulled up 4 times today by the god squad and I can can confirm there concentrated on vechile weights not compliance.

as for light vehicles they are just focused on speed and seatbelt etc .

if they see you twice they will stop to inspect . Must be a general rule etci

  5. We have had similar issues , couple of things to try and check are the guazes in the first banjo fitting at the lift pump for obstructions, also check the fittings on the filters between the tank and pump.

might pay to chuck a clear hose between the tank and pump to check for air bubbles.

the lift pumps can suck in air and I’ve found small pieces of wood stuck under the diaphragm allowing fuel to flow back to tank.

check the tank breather is clear.

Make sure the battery is fully charged to ensure the solinoid is seeing full voltage .

nice project, it’s going to be a beast .

Spoke to the guy today it’s up for sale in the next few weeks rego et9815 .

runs good , small oil leak at fuel pump due to pulling off to get running.

beleive it’s a one or two owner truck.
