Would love to check out the car show, remember going when I was like 13/14 was epic. I think it's grown a bit since then.
-
Yeah the guy said the rear end can be pretty loose when it's empty but hey that's all good. It's in need of a repainted but I can probably do it in 3 days for sub $500 and it will add a lot of value I reckon

Cool thanks for the tips guys. I might be swapping my daily for it so I would have to commute in it for a while. I'd probably use it for a few practical things then try tidy it up and sell it on. I went and had a look and it runs quite good with service history etc. Had rust sorted and all that. Seems like a solid truck.
-
What are peoples ideas about dailying a medium sized truck. Its a double cab Mazda Titan with a 4.2m deck. 4.6 diesel 6 speed manual. Also are these good trucks? I have no idea what im going to go look at tommorow tbh. Any advice would be great.

Unfortunately I lost all photos of anything previous to the respray but oh well.
A couple months ago i decided to do something about the rust in the boot floor so i cut a big hole in it.
And then made up a pretty rough patch for it with a bit of advice from a guy at work.
Should turn out alright when I finally get round to welding it in, but ill probably wait until I fix up all this too...
So yeah this is where im at right now
Coming up next will be patching the inner sill, new outer sill, flip the car onto the other side and repeat. Weld in the bootfloor patch and fix a couple other minor bits on the floor then i can think about epoxy on the floor.

So I had the best of intentions with this car but I never really got the chance to update the build thread...mainly because I did nothing to it. Oops. I also have been pretty slack with the whole photo taking thing but so far I have just been stripping it down and doing destructive shit like that so anywho here is some pics.
So basically I had the car body all painted up and an engine that was pretty close to running mint.
Got some 12inch Wellers and had it rolling but not really running and no brakes

Hang on, how can you be sentenced wwhen it was discharged without conviction? Doesnt make sense to me.
-
Hey mate cool clubman, they look so good with wide wheels and flares. What did you do with the metro brakes? Use mini hubs or just metro hubs with mk1 metro ball joints? Cheers
-
Nice mate saw this on trademe should be a fun wee car. Not many round at all nowadays. Let me know if you come across any parts for these things I'm trying to restore one at the moment
-
This car started off as a project race car with my flatmate at the time, picked up from his work colleague as a body with front subframe removed for the princely sum of $500. I will try track down the photos I had and update over the next few days.
