I pulled the whole exhaust off my Mirage one day last year, and went for a boost with the bro around Orewa. I went to boost it and as I was doing so, some old guy put his fingers in his ears. It was that fucking loud.

My 1981 mirage should be worth a Shit load. It's not immaculate, but I'm slowly getting it there.

Does anyone know if the new Mitsubishi's are like that?
-
You see those Diamantes and anything else Mitsubishi - Magna, Galant, Legnum, Lancer, Mirage etc etc etc piled high at Pick-A-Part, and Zebra U Pick. All because of Automatic transmission problems. Don't get me wrong, the automatics are really great cars and are f***ing great cars to drive. They become a dog when you get transmission problems. My dad had 3 Mitsubishis - Cordia, Galant and Magna. All 3 had new transmissions put into them. He brought a Mazda 6, and touch wood, will never have that problem again.

Shit, that massive article freaked me the fuck out. Not sure if im gonna start worrying about some of this.

Didnt have to many interesting cars when growing up. Mitsubishi Cordia, Galant VR4, not to mention a Mitsubishi Mirage. Mum and dad mainly had Mitsubishi's. Poppa had a red austin allegro, nana and grandad had a hyandai stellar at some point too. May upload a few old pics later.

also thanks to Rxtoy, i didnt see your post till after i had replied to Taistorm. i dunno why but i couldnt see the second page till then. but yeah im pretty happy with the car. i just want to restore it to origonal condition. and i like the its looks and the inside is pretty well perfect. only thing i have found to be a problem so far is the cig lighter doesnt work. but i have had no time to look into it. i think it may be when the previous owner put the sony explode in it. which i want to get rid of.
does anybody by chance have a picture of an unadulterated dash that i can see so i can see what should have been where the ugly stereo is. as i would like to put that back to origonal aswell and maybe get one the same size as the tape deck thats in the console. instead.
It was popluar back in the day to cut the piece of plastic out which was the surrond for the original stereo, because new stereos wouldent fit behind the molded plastic. so if you want the original stereo setup you would have to find some way of getting the original front piece in there
