Can anyone help
I have had a problem with getting constant spark.
With a timing light attached the light does not have a constant pulse, it pulses well then stops and then hit and miss and carry on occurs.
I have replaced leads, plugs, cap, points, condenser and coil and can't figure out what else to do.
This is on an Toyota 18r (the vehicle I'm trying to sell) and has just suddenly started doing it, it will strart when cold and runs well then dies and won't start again if it does start it has a really bad miss.
Vehicle was running well last week the only new thing i have done is the coil I put on today to try and fix it

About the only thing I've got is some older bulky fox armour, any spare bike parts I need for the kids, I thought I had more but have vanished who knows where,
The clothing I'm keeping as I may join the kids one day

Good on you for giving it a go. What gear have you got and what gear would you like, I have some gear you could have for donations but would have to find it and sort out what I do have.
Only catch it is in Paeroa

Ps, I haven't bought it yet but would like too, so if any one could even help by picking it up over the next few days or is heading south this week please let me know

Can anyone help to collect a 3 bike car rack from Waitakere in Auckland and help get it to ether Hamilton, Morrinsville, Paeroa or Te Aroha
Cheers

Both kids are members of the Paeroa BMX club and have been sharing a bike between them and we just bought another bike (2nd hand) for my daughter and it's all set up wrong but a good bike for what we paid. Just going to swap cranks over for a start and see how that goes.

Cool thanks, that helps a little

This is a long shot but does anyone here know of a website or something to help setup race BMX's for kids just after a bit of info on crank sizes, sprockets etc

This is what to look and search for. 3rd gen 1979 to 1983, 2wd petrol models RN30,40,41. 4wd petrol models RN46,36 (flared guards on 4wd)
Diesel models have LN instead of RN.
Your model as far as I can understand comes in as 4th gen but holds the old styling and all the ones I have seen have been imports and not sold new in NZ,
this maybe is why you are having trouble?
hope this can help you

That's a hard Question, you have an 85 RN45 and its cab is at least 50mm shorter (doors are also shorter) than my 1980 RN46, But I had thought bonnet and guards were the same. I saw an 85 like yours for sale just out of Te Awamutu in a paddock about a month ago (not sure on price). I can make a few phone calls and see if its still there if you like.

I would be so gutted if this had happened to me, but it looks like you are on track for a nice rebuild and I hope to see this on the road again.
On a side note if you come across a mint dash pad with no cracks on your travels looking for parts, could you please let me know.

Everything was replaced probably 6weeks ago and has been going fine, this miss fire is new so I replaced the coil today with no change
It's not a fuel problem it is a electrical problem getting constant spark to the spark plugs, have had them out and earthed them, don't know where or what the problem would be, do I start replacing stuff again
