I once drove an 08 transit done 600 odd thousand on the original running gear, drove just like a new one, funny cos the boss bought one new after that and it didn't last 100k before he started having problems with it... Think I'll stick with my hiace 210000ks trouble free motoring in the 2 years since I bought it.... Now I've said that though

Your wheels make me feel warm inside....... Possibly the best set to go on it so far if I do say so myself

its actually quite frustrating how uninformed the cops are about the "rules" every one of them say something different about. Ive been pulled over 5 times in the last month just because of "the type of car i own"- their words, an none of them mentioned anything about missing bumper
I guess this means you should be thankful then that they were so misinformed that you didn't get repeated fines for no front bumper, I recall you saying that the cop didn't know shit when he gave you a fine for not having a bumper and you saying there wasn't anything illegal about it, I'd just say your lucky

Good score with the turbo Sigma, I've always had a soft spot for these things, God knows why, it's certainly worth swing based on rarity alone isn't it?

This is epic! My old man has a whole house full of these kinds of radios, you've done an awesome job converting it

LS for win then you'll never have problems with the motor catching a cold haha just my opinion, but at the end of the day do what you are going to be most happy with, hell youre the one thatll be driving it

So I've been and tested out the coffee machine and fire and if I could like them I would...... And this has nothing to do with the fact that I could have sworn that id read our meet was today... And to think I've got 20/20 vision
-
I happen to be taking the weekend off and staying at the mother in laws cabin in St Arnaud so don't really have any reason why I can't be in attendance for this, all going to plan the trumpy will play ball and I will have that in attendance also,

so after a day of chopping and changing and playing with various new ignition related parts, a new coil , distributor cap and leads, it seems to be going well, or better than not at all, it had lunched the black wire inside the electronic dizzy and had next to no spark, bits i replaced were part of the diagnosing process coupled with peace of mind in not having to go there again for a while, i also fixed a bunch of leaky/perishing fuel lines, none of which had hose clamps on so am almost a little glad it broke! but all in all im glad the old trumpy is back in action and hope i dont break it in the near future, thanks all for your input im pretty sure id still be scrtching my head without it
-
farrrrrrrk, i always miss out on the fun stuff, maybe one day ill get the jalopy together and itll run for at least half of the time im out in it, looks like you all had fun, definately have to make the next meet

So after a day of diagnosing, we've worked out it has weak as piss spark and is in need of a little bit of tlc so I'll do all the electrical bits and pieces involved with the ignition and see where we go from there, I'm extremely lucky my brother in law is an auto sparky I'd hate to have to actually pay someone for their time with this, thanks for the input lads I'll keep you posted as to how I get on

It was running fine, only while cruising was it being an ass, and it had been running perfectly until then, got me miffed, I've been told the carbs in these can be extremely temperamental but I've never owned one before so haven't got any past experience to go by
-
Sweet, when it finally stops raining and I make it to where I've left it I'll run through the order, strangest part is that it was running like a clock until it just decided to run like two sacks of shit..
-
So I went for a short drive I'm my triumph the other night, wasn't far at all when it starts coughing and spluttering under practically no load while cruising, came right again if I kept my foot up it but the lawman wouldn't approve of this and it's about comfort not speed right, anyway, when I reach my destination I leave it running and quickly nip inside, I come back to it no more than two minutes later and it's dead...... Try to start but run the battery flat in the process, I think it might be fuel but I have only ever had ke corollas so don't even know where to start, it's a 2000tc so we know what we're diagnosing, any help/advice is greatly appreciated
-
I think I it's a fuel issue, it would cough and stutter under bugger all load while cruising, then it just stopped and wouldn't start again, I had considered the hammer idea myself but couldn't bring myself to abusing such a fine piece of motoring equipment, I swear if it had a k motor in it I'd have it running again with duct tape and cable ties, but it's blmc so I naturally know nothing about it haha, any help is greatly appreciated though

It's Sam's old blue one with the multi color door scheme, it's currently thinking about what it's done at my brother in laws house, and here's hoping I can have it running by Saturday, all things go going to plan
-
I'm direly trying to get the not so reliable old trumpy running again so I can attend this, it was running like two sacks of shit, then it wasn't running at all.... Nothing like 5 day deadline to get my shit together, but I wouldn't hold your breath folks, I've been worse than useless at attending meets so far but who knows I might just pull through this time
-
Some of you may have noticed I had the corolla for sale at the show and it went on the tard not long after, well to cut a long story short I had a nice old chap give me a large sum of money in exchange for the keys and it sailed off into the sunset on a car trailer, thus creating my lack of ownership of what I would consider an old school vehicle unless of course my 86 vl commodore qualifies.... I eventually will own another old car, I'm just biding my time to find something epic,
-
If my car makes it it will be piloted by my brother as apparently delivering lost baggage to marahau is more in the interests of the daily running of my business, all was going to plan until, well now I guess but I shall endeavour to make my ugly mug appear throughout the day and check in on the old girl and have a yarn with some fellow old schoolers.
-
I'd pencil myself in to be in attendance but with my job being inconvenient at the best of times we shall see.....

Went to this and was fairly disappointed, I think there was a lot less numbers than last year but with less time to get shit together was understandable... Didn't take photos either, a. Because I don't know how to upload them so they are here and b. Because I didn't see anything I hadn't already seen before so didn't see much point but all in all it was a good way to pass some time
