  1. Could be worse.........

    I'm not sure how.
But because you shared your pain I will share mine.
That TIG I got...... yeah the nearly 2 month wait one.... It's DC only.
Pulled it out the box and cycled a weld on some mild steel to hand, put back in box because busy.

Pulled out week later to do ali and.... where is my AC function? Oh neat.

    That's pretty fun for me.

Great for the car. But pretty much NOTHING AT FUCKING WORK WHERE I WANT TO USE IT.

    /rant.

  2. I've been doing decals and such junk for Vincent St Panel and Paint...... which is now just Vincent Panel and Paint as they're not on the St any more.
Nobody is called Vincent either. So that's pretty confusing.

But they're Russian and I love Russians because it makes it like you're doing a deal with a Bond villain.... which you are, which is more exciting!

They have a new website. http://www.vinpp.co.nz/

I think he's open on a Saturday too, which I am not, which makes him mad which is great as that makes me feel like MRBOND instead of the MSBOND on the number plate.

All in all, after rolling around their workshop they do good work. New shit and old shit (they have a VW camper in there, say no more)

  3. I understand :)

But did it clear up the T comment/ask I made?
    I reckon they'd be better than a hard 90 either direction so that's a positive :)

In my 30's technology log manifold, the exhause downpipe exits the manifold behind the 4th exhaust port

this type, exhaust exiting between 2,3. is much better

    No disputes here!
Not the question I was asking/raising but a boat without gravy isnt'....... wait where was I going with that?

  4. that design is acutally the "sports" exhaust for my flathead. its much better (30% if you believe the old barries) than havin the exhaus exit at the back. It also results in less exhaust valve burnout which typically happens on #4 on the standard.

    Back = end?

I don't mean the T as in the shape of the entire manifold, the the parts it's made from :)

I didn't add a 3rd iteration where the "T"s are more like bends because he ain't making this again! But maybe the center part :P After giving me a beating.

  5. The T section, looks like it's more of a Y crossed with a T. (superimpose Y over T) I just mean it doesn't look directional as many log manifolds do :) I need a drawing!

The red is what I think might happen a bit (at the same time as the green)

And the 2nd horrible drawing is with a couple of 90's turning down to the collector.

    BEHOLD the power of MSPAINT!!!!

But for those power levels I guess it won't matter much, thought I saw those larger figures in your build thread and thought it may be a problem :)

And if you end up with spare time/monies later it's all gravy.

    I love this build.

  6. Man it really looks like the gas can go where it likes in that exhaust manifold!

And a few hard bends and pulses hitting one another.

Was there a reason you couldn't make a collector style one? (go up then down. space?) It'd be helpful for you EGT's :)

What's the dilly'o with those "t"s flaring both directions?

    And because this is 2016:

  7. Boiled down.

Brake performance is important because it might not be you driving it all the time (helps to think the cert process applies to the lowest common denominator) and sr2 will help you with brake performance that :)

    Yay!

Hope you hear from your cert guy!

    We love your car/build.

  8. I used www.wheelrepairservices.co.nz when I bent my mates 20's on his stupid people mover after I was in the worlds smallest rock slide.
To be honest, they were FUCKING ANNOYING to deal with, BUT,  they weren't too expensive and I harassed them into fixing it how I wanted.
By the looks they've sorted their act a little, or at least the website.
Might be worth an email at the least.

But I like Snoozins idea best :P
