^^ yeah it is him,
I think the leafs can be made to handle fairly well without the need to go 4 link?
He'll just have to do a bit more than fit an air filter for me to maintain interest in his project fred.
Yeah, its something I'll only look at if I have a fair bit of spare cash at some point. Rear discs and an LSD will be money well spent in the rear to begin with! No rush though. Getting it on the road is priority number 1.
It's you!
It IS! HI ED!

Ahh interesting. Cheers!

First mod for this is a classic K&N filter.
Currently sizing up an adjustable bias pedal box now the engine conversion is pretty much decided with the Zetec sitting in the garage. Now that I know I'll be eventually using a Type 9 5 speed I can lock in a pedalbox suited to a cable clutch. Really keen on losing the factory booster setup, which will get in the way of the sidedraughts when I eventually get around to the conversion. Getting the pedalbox in now will solve the current line issues too

Hi all, bought this off M_C a few months back. Have spent the last 10+ years with 4WD turbo misery which I got sick of so ended up selling the lot and picking this up
Requires some minor work to get back on the road - mainly the brake master cyl needs fitting and one of the lines replaced due to a stripped thread. The body is relatively rust free for a car of it's age, but may require some to be cut out from under the drivers door hinge before it passes a WOF (We'll see if my dodgy WOF guy notices - hopefully not to give me time to get it sorted). The paint appears to be a home job, and is far from perfect, the bonnet being the worst part by far which is not a big deal as I intend on replacing it with a fibreglass item from a local place here in the Waikato as it is rusty anyway.
The car has been lowered on 13" Rostyles, but I would like to get some decent sized wheels/tyres in the car at some point, and this is first priority after getting it road legal. This will include fitting some bubble arch flares in order to accommodate some 15x8" Minilites in a suitable offset along with 235s on the rear. Suspension and brakes will be upgraded with discs all round and all going well a 4 link rear end and LSD of some flavour after this is done.
Interior wise it is fairly spartan as you'd expect from a 60's vehicle, but has the "GT" 6 dial dash which is a bonus, the steering wheel will get replaced with a Sparco item and the Sparco Evo 2 seat ex my other cars will be eventually joined by another one to render the rear seat unusable, (good luck getting back there anyway).
The intention with this car is to be the opposite of the cars I have owned over the past 10 years or so. On the road more often than not. This means there will be long drinks in between modifications where the car will be driven as much as possible and I save to pay to have work done. I picked up a 2L Silvertop Zetec engine for $100 last month which will for the basis of an engine swap in the future. Don't hold your breath on that though, I expect it'll be many years before it sees the engine bay, Looking to keep things carb'd, twin 45mm DCOEs would be nice.Anyhoo, looking forward to spending the near future as a "Classic car enthusiast"Cheers.

Slowly seeing to some of the minor stuff on this thing as I await a bit of a cash injection at the end of July due to quitting my job and moving on.
Started work on cleaning up the dash surround a while back. Will flick a coat of satin black over it and maybe have something made to replace the fake wood finish that originally went over it. Maybe even a thin sheet of brushed alloy.
