hey I've got one of these but no spare parts. think you guys have a dodge d50? pickup over there, i would be finding the running gear out of one of them and bolting it in rather than spending money on the crappy auto. should bolt straight in too. good bumpers for this model are hard to get here.

Thanks heaps for that! Does it have to be a sigma five speed? Or do the l200 ones bolt right in? Yup sounds good the car should be road worthy soon, so I'll be keen on driving up in it and grabbing that stuff! My alternator has also stopped working, would you have a alternator to suit a 4g32? Thanks for the help.
yeah got a whole running L200 with 4g32 in the paddock if you want to strip it, its going to the dump. some L200 gearboxes have bigger input and output shaft sizes,no point putting one of them behind a 1.6. pm me for my number if you want some bits. might motivate me to finish my wagon

5 speed will bolt straight in, if your in the bop sometime I've got a couple of spare free ones. ditch the 4g32 and put a 2L in it, have a spare unknown condition one for $200. looks like you got a good one

choice check out around the pedals for rust as mine has issues there and bottom of the back door. love these vans such bricks but shit in accident.

hey you could try using some plumbers flux paste from a plumbing suppliers place, we use it when brazing brass to copper etc, or dirty pipework, may or may not work for you. have also used it for brazing brass to steel , lots of heat too.

hey there anyone know anything about roll cages? been offered a 70's corolla race car for what seems to be a good price but worried that the roll cage may not be up to todays standards, has logbook but no number plates. he last used it at taupo 10 years ago. will this be allowed back on a track etc? cheers
-
cool thank you , don't know much about toyotas, will get a pic sometime\work out how to store it\tell wife its hers etc.
-
hey nice corolla, a mate has offered me his old coupe race car, same shape as yours, for $3800 its running a hot 2T with twin sidies , cage with papers , heaps of hot-wires and slicks , nice rear end set up, big brakes etc and comes with two 4age engines. I don't know what these are worth is this a good deal? be a fun hillclimb car. cheers.

Hi there I'm buying a 1980 jeep j20 6.2 diesel, it has the usual rust in the cab from sitting outside. A guy in hamilton makes fibreglass cabs for these and I'm quite interested.
Whats the go with getting one certified? He said they put steel in for all the mounts etc but said they need extra if you want to use it on the rd, do they need a roll bar type arrangement? is it a bitch\costly exercise? don't want a jungle gym to get into.
cheers max

pretty certain the second gen L200 diffs are bigger than the early L200 diffs, think you could also look into the sigma wagon diff centre too as they were? an 8" diff and might be of use to you.

think this is everyones dream? find a choice rare car off some old geezer who doesn't know what its worth?
gotta be the best find of the year, gets my vote.

pretty sure I've got lenses and a mint front bumper end cap,not sure which end.
-
not sure about your outlet? better throw up a pic, I've got a few 16L bits in my lockup if your short. is the outlet from the block or head? I've used 4age? inline thermostats from pick a part corollas with good success , have herd they are not good to use in theory but in real life they have worked well.
-
can you run compressed air through the spark plug hole to hold the valve in place while you replace the seal? have herd of people using thin rope through the plug hole at the bottom of the stroke then winding the piston up but i don't like that idea.
