Ok first Question, what gearbox to use,
got 3 options,
Mitsubishi R5M31 (Rare and expensive)
Holden T5 (cheep but big and bulky)
Toyota W57/58 (expensive but quite compacted)
swaying towards the Toyota as they are just known but open to comments

Would this be a holden v6?
also i feel having 8 cars in my name is enough for now haha

Right this is starting, i don't know if it will work or if it will burn to the ground but that's the fun of a project right?
Over the weekend i managed to get the first big part of a plan that has been in the works for about 2 years.
this is a 24 valve mitsubishi V6 RWD 3.8 build
at this stage i have:
one mitsubishi 380, 6G75 motor from pick a part
one pair of engine mounts from a pajero
One set of nice tube headers for a pajero SOHC
lots of suborn determination (i feel it will be needed)
At this stage i am unsure what shell I'm going to use but i have 2 in mind.
one is a 1980 celeste shell I've had for a while now
the other is something i picked up about 6 months ago from a barn up north, a 1974 Mitsubishi GTO.
The GTO has the wrong motor already (that and i'm trading it with somebody for the headliner and interior trim), a shit exhaust and fiberglass front wings.
Photos will be loaded once i pull them off my phone....

first time seeing other old cars with the civic with its twin carbs... shame the distributor hits the manifold so its running a little flat atm....

I may or may not have to stop in a random carpark with a random old ish car

does the 5 speed EN box fit the EB motor? I am possibly picking up a parts car on the weekend (EB)
yes it does however use the original clutch and flywheel from the mk1. also you may have to remove the in fill plate from the drivers side of the engine bay as the 5 speed is slightly longer

need is a strong word... but there is always a good requirement for spairs but mostly its for lower arms, driveshafts and engine blocks

Are EN Civic manual parts any use to you for this? I've got a gearbox, clutch and maybe flywheel in the shed and potentially other usable manual specific parts still on a wreck in the bus paddock.
Well if they are going spare.....

Well let me know as there is a good reason I never made it to the meet....
There maybe a little copper colored civic now in the drive.

I think the civic is due a trip out
Side note, anyone looking for a 1977 honda civic as my current one is getting too far rust wise for me to fix, so i will be reshelling it with a shell i have, however i don't want to condemn the current shell to a scrap heap yet so i can put a spair motor and box in it for anyone wanting it?
Will come with rego on hold, 5 speed manuel, and possibly a 1335 (MK2) motor.

Well stop swapping the 4g63 into something else

So yea a daily rover is expensive but makes the right noises and comfortable. the other one is almost completely stripped down now. before I scrap the shell is there any panels anyone needs off?
