So while i was out bargin hunting at the garage sales on saturday morning, i got this ill as suitcase full of insulated wire. WINNING. I also wanted to have a look what a white wheel would look like, painted but not on haha

I had a few spare hours before work today so i gave the engine bay a little clean up, no biggy Got some black tape out today, just to see what it'll look like on the lights, looks pree dope though

So last weekend i got bored so i put the stuff on the roof racks, this is the result Its looking pree rad On monday i took the tow ball off coz it looks stupid Then i painted the back black just for the colour theme im going with

So i posted a shit short video to youtube of the Hunter, but once finished i will upload a full length video

I havent been doing much to the beast lately, polished a badge Scored an old whisky box from Bluff and an old suit case for the rook rack Finally payed for the gear box, looks clean as! should be put in, in the next week or two

The olds took the Cortina up to Timaru for a car run, got its first sticker

Cheers mate, its a slow build due to family reasons and stuff, but hopefully by the end of the year it should be finish! You got any ideas mate?

Oh sweet! So you don't need cert for lowering blocks?

What would this look like lowered by 3inch at back and 2inch at the front? Can i do that or do i need a cert?

So i finished up a few things today: Grill, before and after And put the grill on! Doesn't look too bad And i finished the boot

Any ideas on what else i could do lads??

Not much of an up date, but i've finished the big panel work and primered red! Nice colour match i reckon!!! Should have a new gear box in a week or two, then should have it in, in the next few weeks! I also painted the spare grill, it looks completely different! hopefully it looks good on the beast

I want the old man to lower it like this one, but he just wants to keep it original I love looking threw old car manuals and stuff like it And the old badges

Yeah boss we getting the gear box fixed/new one first, then lowering it like 2 or 3inches

So this is my father Mk1 Cortina So we went looking for a cortina all the way up to chch and we just about brought this Cortina, but the guy turned it into a GT, so we passed on that one!! After getting sick of steelies and hubcaps, we found a guy that was willing to sell up some bet up minilights His workshop! he owns like 7 or 8 Mk1 Cortina's and 5 mini's We got the wheels professionally done at a tyre place in Invercargill, cost us $400 to get them like this And this is it with the minilights one

So this morning we went to a garage sale and we were looking at the stuff out side. me and the old man weren't to sure if it was a retro roof rack or not, but the lady told us it was. She told us to take it away!!! SCORE!!!!!!!!! So we put it on the hunter and this is what it looks like over the moon. Sorry if the photo's are a bit blurry, was trying to take cool photo's haha

So while waiting for some bog to dry, i decided to start customizing the spare grill we had So what im going to do is, sand the rough sand like surface,tape up the polish surface, paint rough surface satin black and use metal polish cream on the area i taped up. And for the back im going to paint the grey/silver area black and the petrol cap the same colour as the car Its a work in progress Im thinking about black and mustard contrasting, can not wait until this is finished :)

So my sanding is coming along quite nicely i think, im a clean up boy at a panel shop and i just take it all in! This was the guard full of cheese that was breaking away! Then my cheesing Then the door that the old guy stuffed up haha My 'retro' tag in the dust haha It was my birthday the other day and my lovely grandmother gave me this retro toolbox, love it!!

So today i painted the wheel archers, because they looked out of place, looks so much better. I've also started sanding all the surface rust, big job haha. here are some photo's of what it looks like now, coming along quite nicely i think It looks sweet with hubcaps, just needs more low

Sorry about not updating in a month, but i've now painted the boot and doesn't look too bad I think the contrast is quite nice, but the boot is quite tidy now than before haha

So tonight i worked on the boot. Sanded it back and got rid of the surface rust. I'm going to paint it black, so it's nice and tidy. before... After... Should have it paint in the next week and a half.
