  1. Hey guys I need a set of 4 new tires for a new car, tyres on it a some Chinese crap and want some performance tyres so I can thrash it to death without flying off the road.

    Needs to be 225/45/17.

Whats everyones experience? I have used bridgestone adrenalins re002 before and they were great but thought I should maybe ask before dropping a grand on tyres. Im open to other options.

i have just worn out the t1r's on the front of my car they were awesome tyres compared to the cheap shit that was on my car when i got it. I have just replaced them adrenalins re003 and they are just as good if not better they have awesome grip in the dry and the wet

  2. Any of the big brands for 6x9s would be fine i have kenwoods in my car had them un amped for probably 3 years and amped for two years so far and never had a problem with them still go just as good as new. Only thing i dont like about kenwood is the ugly grills but then most have ugly grills nowadays.

The cheapest place i have found for car audio is on trademe you can get brand new with warranty, add shipping and its normally still cheaper then the shops.

  3. Good to see someone has the gonads to go through with something like this haha. Always see people saying they are going to replicate some car but no one goes through with it (including me lol). No doubt ill see this driving round at some stage good work.

Hi guys I see a lot of people always saying they would love astros but cant or wont get them because they seem to always end up cracking.

Most of you would already know about Dragway 5 spokes but I thought I would mention it anyway. Dragway 5 spokes look very similar to Astros I think they are an aussie company???

Now I dont know what the quality is like but these wheels have been around for a very long time look in any quite old street machine and you will see them advertised. I dont know if you can still buy them new even but can seem to find lots for sale in aussie.

Sorry for the pretty useless post but I thought if someone really wanted this look and didnt know about them its another option to look at.The attached pic of wheel is a Dragway 5 spoke.

  5. Sorry im not explaining this very well. Say you jack the car up the diff will drop down and will pivot down from the arms holding it. Now if you have the sway bar bolted to the diff and the sway bar bolted to the straight links wont that straight link stop the diff dropping because the swaybar has no pivot point.

Or will the bushes on the link allow the diff to pivot down.

I might need to draw a picture lol

  6. Hi guys we are looking at putting a rear swaybar on the back of a 65 impala. We have a sway bar now need to look at link options.

The way the bar is it would need a link like in the picture below and a bracket made up to bolt to frame. My question is how does a link like that work since both ends are straight? When the diff drops down wouldnt that put huge pressure on the link since there is no joint?

car has normal coils not leaf springs.

(Random pic to show type of link we were thinking)

  7. Hey Jessy, let me know when you're right at the bottom of the island and if I'm about, you can come around to mine and have a look in my shed. If you give me warning I might even be able to make some of the cars look like they're useful.

could be keen as well kyteler maybe could meet up for it or something
