What i have picked up from this is cert system is shit because you cant cert a car with wide rims sticking out the guards with tiny tyres and big camber so you are pretty much driving on the sidewall.
camber rule probably came in because of idiots as well, I used to see cars getting around with huge camber they were forever swapping tyres over because they were wearing the edges out in a matter of weeks.

I could be keen to meet up with people at some stage probably wont be going to racing but will see whats happening that weekend.

We have taken the 66 impala wagon to queenstown lapping a few times, just rolling round qtown with tailgate window down music cranked the looks you get is hilarious half the people give you the thumbs up and big smiles and the other half just glare at you and give you a discusted look.
Had people saying one night why are you just driving round, um we are in a impala why the fuck wouldnt you be driving round lol.
also pulled up outside pub in alexandra one night this old guy stumbles out and starts looking over the car and says right how much is it worth i was like i dont know 25k. He was like ill give you 30k for it thought he was all shit but the next day i looked the guy up and he has does know his shit and is pretty wealthy lol.

just another point as well the sooner you start buying tools the better. If you think ill get that later you end up looking back wishing you had brought all this stuff ages ago.

This was made because you couldnt get get a proper sparkplug socket in between extractors. Its a bit twistednow but does the job
My socket wasnt long enough to fit over the thread of my cv when trying to get the nut off so we cut it and welded a bit of pipe over it. I know you can get tube sockets but i thought a 32mm tube socket would be pretty pricy so made this. Painted matty black for max rust protection.

Sorry for the shit photos the vinyl is a bit sun faded and them marks on it are just from something sitting on it so would come out after sitting for a while. Would be perfect for getting recovered.

The more air you put in the more it raises the back so you get a bit more travel so less chance hitting the bump stops meaning much nicer ride. Since your going so low i wouldnt worry about two lines since the car wont be able to roll far anyway.
Adding air wont make the shocks firmer they just give you the ability to raise the back a bit
-
so simple fact is replace the shocks?
i just put air shocks in the old mans wagon to help it out a bit when you have a full car load. Since its close to bump stops they make it a lot less bumpy when you pump them right up.
I personally would keep them if they are still good. Yes there is a lot better handling shocks out there that will out perform the air shocks any day but really it depends what you want out of the car if its just a cruising car i would just keep them.
-
Anyone know what the deal is with air shocks? does it make it easier or harder to lower? keep or replace?
air shocks are just there for if you have a big load and the back squats down so you can pump them up to get the back level again. If your car has lots of suspension travel they should have individule air lines or else when you go round a corner all the air will go to one side not what you want for decent handling.
