  1. Don't worry about people taking the piss about the 700 hp 3sge, it's all in good humour and they don't mean to insult you. It is pretty much an inside joke of oldschool now.

Yeah I've seen it around. Some people use it and its funny, some of it isnt cause they just forced it and ehh.

I saw testaments reply to someone who said a thread didnt have anything about a 700hp 3s and he posted a video about a 3s Drag car ^___^

  2. Yeah I took all my shit to the depot but they had to pack it.. I did help with the cars tho. No brainer to upgrade to a 40ft.. the best priceI found in Aussie was through Australian vanlines, had a couple companies quote me over 10k..

yeah that sounded like a bargain for the 40ft compared to 20ft.

woahhhhh OVER $10K? what the.... stingy much.

  3. maybe if you sell the 700hp 3sge escort u can pay for it?

If you're not going to be helpful just go away. I never intended on building a 700Hp 3s, all I wanted to know was if that was possible without it being destroyed in a few Km or if it was a load of shit.

For example I've been told that a JZ standard bottom is good till 800Hp therefore the JZ has alot of potential amd a good range at what people would want their car to have.

  4. Yetchh what the hell? Man there are some assholes out there who just wanna getcha for your money >_< would of thought with aussie customs being so strict that their steam cleaning specialist would be good for the customs here to say yeah she'll be alright.

40ft container 7k mmmmkay might see if its cheaper to roro or split a container with somebody else :L

R100 I like your thinking hahahahah

do you get charged extra from the shipping company for how many cars and things you put in the container? Or just for the container itself?

  5. Fletch how much did that cost you to ship?

If I did get a car in aussie and my sister helped I would ask her to take it through a car wash or maybe valet it with a thorough clean and what not.

-.- really? $200 bucks for nothing. sounds like a pretty dick move.

What the? Are you SERIOUS? damn aussies ae hahahahah

I'll jusy try to find a wof center with an inspector who loves ra28 ^__^

  6. Was mine... had 4 Liftbacks (+ 1 coupe) at that point so sold 2x RA35's off and kept the best RA28 GT and TA27 GT :D and the TA22

YOU LUCKY SON OF A GUN :o

They look sick! message me if you unfortunately want to sell the ra28 :P I highly doubt it though :L hahah

  7. Yeatchh oh okay thank you :) yeah I read that it was 24 months.

DB8-TypeR yeah my mate told me the same thing that it's cheaper to import from japan than aussie. I find it hard to believe since aussie is across the ditch where as japans in the northern hemi? hahahahah $14K is actually better than I was thinking of $16K

R100 holy shit $750 that's cheap >_< hahahah rental car plates ae. yeah I went to Sydney a few times earlier this year when my gf used to live there, a bit of eye candy i must admit

this is the 1977 RA28 just "repairable rust. Slight dent on lower right front quarter and bars" possibly take it to a rust Dr before hand? and also my sister moved to aussie so she could help out? how long do you have to own a car prior to shipping it? I could get the car to her and keep it with her for the time being get it fixed up abit relating to rust and the dent, check the belts make sure they aren't frayed or anything and check the brakes.

but tbh $14K-$16K is alot of money just for a car a really want :/ like I would buy one in aussie for a good price if I could >_<

  8. Beaver I used search, I only found the first link you supplied.

Yes I've looked at the nzta website, ages ago I found a page that talks about relevant cost for when ita in NZ I cant find it now.

So I'm only looking for numbers please, because I want to know how much money I need and if it's worth it or not.

    Thank you V8pete

  9. Yeah woukd of thought the firewall would be mirror to make production easier.

    Hahahahah reversing through McD

Leeky you're right. 35 has HIDEOUS bumpers >_< RA28 is the best

Thanks sleek for the pics, is it your whip?

  10. I'm looking at importing an RA28 1977 from aussie. How much am I looking at with Importing a car from aussie? I really want an RA28 but I can't find one in NZD for sale. There was one but the guy was selling it for $18K

    - Price of the car in NZD would be around $7K.

    - price for shipping I think someone said roughly $2k?

    - Vin for the car

    - Rego for the car

    2L engine so:

    6months=$291.08

    12months=$431.25

    - WOF for the car

    Anything else?

  11. Sounds like a lot of effort and money to spend. Does the fact it's LHD concern you that much?

Not really tbh, mate was just saying don't even bother. Do it later on if I reallh want to. I would prefer rhd tbh

  12. Can you find a RHD dash for it? It might be cheap to do but you may never find the parts so its impossible

    >_< So it comes down to the possibilty of even finding parts.

What parts would I be looking for?

I read another topic but it was for an amaerican muscle and the guy said he needed a firewall.

So i would need to buy

    - dash

    - rack and pinion?

    - steering coloumn.

    - firewall or not?

My mate reckons because they come both left and right hand the firewalls not an issue?

  13. How much would I be looking at to convert an ra35 to rhd?

Theres an RA28 with an 18rg RHD going for $15K

Or would buying an Ra35 LHD going for buy now of $11K then converting that to RHD be cheaper?

  14. Oh wow. That is alot of power. He must be dreaming? Did he mean 70hp?

70 hp would be good out of a Pinto. Much easier than the 3S and a well documented conversion.

Bistro i was looking for mods to a beams engine to improve performance and ther was this online store said that it sold beams with +700whp

  15. Well im studying this year and i dont work till after mid august, its just the consumption of fuel the rotas have :/

And the peice of fuel, well mind you I wont be driving much once I start my course.

Mjrstar hahahahahah hell no 700 whp is waaay too much for me, I wasnt actually looking to make that, I just saw it and was like wtf? And I was only curious to if was even possible, because if it is I would then know a 3sge+t has a good possibility to some good whp

  16. Cpt. Pancakes I have a 1975 mk2 esky with a 1.1L xflow engine. The eskys 2 ownerships back was a purist he upgraded the brakes, they're callipers

Jase I've heard the wankel is nice and small, gives good power and revs good too?

But they're terrible on fuel use

  17. Unless the Escort you already have is rusting away. Buying another one that does have it's fair share of rust, to make a project makes no sense. Not unless you like to fix rust anyway. Just use the one you have as mentioned, it's not rare, so it's not worth worrying about keeping it standard.

Nah nah the escort I have now is actually pretty straight, :/ what about purist? Would it be harder to sell later if I wanted too?
