  1. Hey guys, well I kicked the 20b can down the road after talking $$$ with Azhar. Just too rich for me and my 3. So decided to keep things simple and keep the 13b bridgey - but convert to EFI. Wondered if anyone had any experience with what the best ECUs are for 13bs out there? I am looking to run a Haltech IC7 display inside in a Motorsport 3D dash. Any thoughts / experiences welcomed.

    Cheers kiwi808… probably needs a tougher stance as well.. but it is set up just right for the track. So am keen to keep as is for the time being. It’s fun to be out there racing against the escorts - she’s a quicker car, but foiled a bit by a crap pedaler.

  3. Only just seen the build thread. Looks great..! Looks like we have parallel projects on the go. Although mine is an 808. I was looking to go 20B pp then got the prices through and very quickly decided to stay 13B bp..! Bits are getting harder and harder to get. Just managed to get some doors out of Cali. Bloody heavy and realised that they have side intrusion bars in them for the US market. Who knew...? I guess everyone but me... lol.

    I have a left hook grand familia wagon im going to comply , My stash of  808 bits is not much use to me as these left hook cars seem to all have rx3 spec interiors.

     

     

    He wasnt sure what they would fetch... so said he was pretty negotiable. He asked me my thoughts... I had no idea given they are left-hookers. Always seem to have big prices on them...but not sure what they really sell for in the end.

  5. Bought some rx3 doors off a guy who has recently brought in some US rx3s. He has 2 for sale (not widely advertised) ... so thought I'd post the photos here to see if any Rotary Piners are interested in a left hooker. DM me if you want his details. I am not sure if the wagon is a rx3 or 808. He said coupe is an original rx3. Looks pretty tuff.

    Lots of things are unavailable at the moment. Cant even get a Bonnet Release from them...

    I have 2 boot lids once the panelbeater has decided which one we are using in mine i will have one to sell, neither are perfect but they dont have rust either just need a bit of love.

    Windscreen washer nozzle kit PAC or Phils sell them new, i think they do a bonnet release cable too new.
    10A Bumper will be a bit trickier, keep a eye  out on TM and FB theres been a few 10A fronts coming up for sale lately, but yeah the bumpers are hard to find for sure, im glad mine was tidy and got it rechromed so its mint now.

    Thanks for this. Just found the bonnet release on Pac. Must have missed it somehow. Cant see a Windscreen Washer nozzle there... but now looking on Phils. Re the boot lid.. I'd be keen. Will IM you. And the search for the front 10a bumper continues. I have one, but it needs re-chroming... and last time I checked it was hard to get anyone to re-chrome without paying some serious dollars.

    As for motor, cost it out  but the 20b NA PP  isn't too much of a jump price wise from a complete PAC 13b turbo set up. Can't beat the 3 rotors and it's worth saving up the extra imo

    OK... you're convincing me. I am getting a 20b NA PP 'set up' costed by Garry now. YOLO. Just need to convince the Mrs. LOL

  9. So whilst the rx2 coupe is good spirits, my 10a rx3/808 coupe is pretty much farked and having to be completely rebuilt from ground up. She was a beautiful looking thing but digging into her and the repairs done on her in the past were... not optimal. So am starting again. We're deep into the rebuild and whilst we sourced bought rx3 parts or fabricated new bits, I need the following. 1) boot-lid, 2) windscreen washer nozzle kit, 3) front 10a bumper, and 4) bonnet release cable. If anyone can point me in the right directions for any of it, please reach out. Am also looking for ideas re a new engine setup. Thought of going 13b bridgeport turbo (PAC Performance) but open to ideas. Not sure I can afford a 20B pp setup (the dream!), but am considering. Will start a Builds/Project thread if this is not the right place...
