Its been a while an not a lot has happened to this sack as i was experiencing the wheeler dealer hu$tle hah
finally got it towed to joes mechanical to get insurance to hopefully pay out for a fuck up by previous mechanic
picture spam of the 15s on the car
Front pair are autostrada's--- need to find another pair of these as i like them waaayyyy more than the ssr's imo
Rears are just ssr mesh
Still need to sort the fitment out with 180mm free height adjusty springs and adjustable arms are necessary as its got mexi poke with 25mm spacers on to clear the brakes
Enjoy fellas & female equivalents

Alright i've read all over the interwebs but its got me more confused than anything
i know ford falcon or futura rear springs can fit in the rear but what yr falcon or futura springs ?? does it even matter???
Apparently Ford sierra wagon springs fit as well just lop a coil or 2 off
What shocks should i use for the rears ? can i leave the stock ones in or?
what should i do for the fronts ??
thats it there sitting on 15s with standard suspension but would like it a few inches lower
school me with your toyota wisdom pls

My manual 1GEU gx71 sounded pretty rumbly/grouse with a resonator in place of the cat and a decent sports muffler (actual muffler, not fart cannon). Was just in factory pipe size IIRC. Not loud but nice.
yeah i just want a nice little rumble even just at idle would be nice but definitely not going to a fart cannon hahah

its auto so ye itll have a drone but dont want a hair dryer after a week of owning it
-
not too sure where i should be posting but here it is anyway..
Is there anyway to make a 1ge sound nice without buying expenny extractors?? Still have the metre long sausage muffler so that needs to go for a start and thinking about stainless 1.5" twin pipes and experiment with 1 or 2 resonators
Any other thoughts/opinions welcome

Hey fellas
Just wondering about a 4 to 5 stud adaptor for toyota ?
Are there any available out there?? The only 2 i have seen are from scarles and gktech and they only do them for nissan :/
Last time i checked the lvvta they were legal to have on the car long as they met the requirements.

Any info is appreciated especially if you have some for a toyota hahah
Cheers

i have a yb125 1973 which is dereg an getting some work done on it at the mo but it hasnt had a reg since 96, just wondering how expensive itll be to get it back on the road
mechanic said i have to have a certificate for the brakes ??and said itll be around $800 to reregister again which seems a bit excessive. its still got plates on it
any info will be good
cheers

I guess this means you should be thankful then that they were so misinformed that you didn't get repeated fines for no front bumper, I recall you saying that the cop didn't know shit when he gave you a fine for not having a bumper and you saying there wasn't anything illegal about it, I'd just say your lucky
i know im lucky i didnt get done for other things but the fact that i didnt have to go through this hassle if i had been told or given a warning by the other cops if that makes sense
oh well ya live an learn
-
Do you own a flatpeak?
hmmmm no i do not my long locks are free in the breeze
-
its actually quite frustrating how uninformed the cops are about the "rules" every one of them say something different about. Ive been pulled over 5 times in the last month just because of "the type of car i own"- their words, an none of them mentioned anything about missing bumper
-
nope.
1. The risk of a component (Note 5) hooking a vehicle, or hooking or grazing a person, has not been minimised, eg a bonnet or bumper has been removed, exposing sharp, moving or hot components.
Oh wot, got told by another cop previously that as long as my plate is showing its fine

#karmageddon
Was waiting for it to happen sooner or later so not fussed just thought it would be for adjusties cause youre allowed to drive without a front bumper but this cunt doesnt know anything. He thought my gear knob was illegal
-
black smoke will be it running rich as fuck, maybe on 5 cyls, white smoke pouring out would be turbo.
what happened to all these wheels coming from japan?
oh well if it is seems like a good time to reg on hold an rip engine out an do something mechanical with it.
Thought it was turbo cause theres a shit ton of oil pissing out the seals an using heaps of engine oil
still waiting on them moonlight have had some delays so hoping end of september
-
So today a bit happened test fitted the 15s not going to run them anytime soon pics will show why lel
got pink stickered while broken down for no bumper of all things. black smoke started pouring out the exhaust so pretty sure my turbos gone but car doesnt want to run for long or move
New to do list
- remove adjusties
-take cage out
- springs back in
- seats back in
-go to vtnz an fail on their picky fucking standards, no doubt more shit they'll make me do
-
one more:
any auction dates ?
-
Do they clear the calipers?
^^^ I hope you have test fit them. Steelies like this usually don't fit single pots, Let alone gtst brakes.
You haven't really thought about this have you.. unless you've got the poverty brakes, also good luck fitting those under the guards...
I too felt all your concerns when i first bought them but only need a 10mm bolt on spacer to clear the callipers or just whip out the angle grinder an grind a bit of the top of the calliper an its sweet.
Guard work will be immense if i commit to running them instead of just 8s allround with the meshies. Gt refinishers will surely get the job to do the guards though

Was planning on going for a nistune which are around $450-$600 depending who does it but they still use the afm so i'd need to spend extra for a wide band.
Yeah have done a bit of research. Went to NS spec, he convinced me anyway to get the g2 instead saying it'll be a way better option than a nistune, he claimed i should make at least 250kw but who knows till its on the dyno
