It’s actually stupid to have to register more than one bike if you have multiple in your name because you can only ride one at a time… I think I have this rant every time this topic is brought up

Anyone worked out the real costs/savings of rolling a motorbike reg on hold permanently vs being fully wof'd and reg'd all the time? Got 2 bikes that need wof and reg and the costs are ridiculous, plus hardly anywhere does wof's on bikes
Probably shouldn’t put in my 2c in but I can’t help myself.
Unless a cop whose partner packed them a shitty lunch and s/he’s mad about it stops you, you’ll always get compliance, need a good reason not to offer compliance for wof reg now.
Up until recently they couldn’t offer compliance when licence was put on hold. I believe you do get demerits from operating a vehicle with temp exemption from continuous licensing.I’ve personally never been stopped except for EBA checkpoints on any bike.
Mate of mine just got done by a parking warden on his own street recently, copped the reg on hold ticket… also the parking wardens are a more expensive ticket and from what I can tell don’t offer compliance.

Had my first near miss after 4.5 years of scooter commuting today, going around roundabout and stereotypical ranger driver failed to give way. They somehow failed to see me with my super bright hi viz jacket and headlight blaring but my dinky little horn (not a euphemism) gave them a fright.
That’s quite a decent amount of luck you have there. It’s a regular thing for me to toot and ‘gesture’ at people who fuck around at intersections on my commute home.

The ‘sissy bar’ is not the best but the tail light and the ‘lay flat’ plate holder are excellent quality.
Plate holder is solid alloy! -

Actually considered that.

Im thinking something like a twist n go or cub/ct so I can drag my feet along the ground like I had to with the Harley but still able to pick it up if it does go over might be ideal.
With “winter tyres” on it of course.
My problems could be solved by buying another car but this is bike chat!

Got any recommendations for a suitable tyre for on ice?
Quickly learnt that sporty with cruiser tyres isn’t ideal during the days when the ice won’t melt off the road. -
Can’t be any worse than hipster rolling around on 40 year old rusted out mini bikes?

Insert “if my carb bike breaks down I can fix it roadside” yarn here
* except I can’t even get my carb bike to run properly when it’s not broken down roadside haha

If the buyer of my DR comes through this time I will be back to just 2 bikes!

What’s the issues with Svartpilen?

Old mate talks about build his scootski

Agree with guypie. Farts from the carb are usually lean.
Not sure if those engines have electronics but things like crank angle sensors tend to die and only like working when cool. -
You could trailer it to a lock smith, $$$ tho
