Might be worth a try, but I've bought a few of these headlights for ke3X's etc which I think are 7" semi sealed and curved, were $20 a pop.
www.westernae.co.nz
They're in Henderson West Auckland.

Think this is in the right place?
I am after someone to build me a gearbox crossmember to suit a AA60 Carina with a SR20DE silvia gearbox.
I have both the factory carina crossmember and the silvia one, however I've been told it might be better/ easier to start from scratch?
Problem.
I need it done by Friday 4th September, as the suspension etc is being done on 5th september ( so just under 2 weeks )
Anyone on here able to do it? Or recommend somewhere that could do it within that time frame?
I'm in West Auckland. Car isn't overly mobile, but can make it mobile if have too.
Cheers

Coventry Motors LTD.
09-4431966.
21 Porana Road, Glenfield/ Wairau valley.
Like Chris said, you'll see the Coventry sign/ BOC gas sign and its waaaay up the back, two level building. We see heaps of choice cars boosting up and down there all the time.
-
that place that Chris is talking about is Coventry LTD. His name is Paul, he's got heaps of awesome shit in there, old Datsun GTR's, American classic and muscles etc.
Give us a min and i'll walk outside and get you the number etc for him.

mhmm bugger... Guess the easiest way would be to source a R seires bellhousing and try myself..
-
I've been searching awhile on gearboxes that suit SR's etc ( most the nissan boxes seem to be fucked beyond belief )
on a few aussie forums, people seem to think that the 18R bellhousing with w5X seem to be a direct bolt on to the SR20de's.
Can anyone confirm or deny this? I'd much rather use a W series box than a bloody SR box due to the position it'll sit in.
Here's what I mean:

Yeah, it has a dizzy on it. And I wanted something retro, but with easily available parts... And 4age's are getting far too pricey for a running engine/ box.
-
Hey,
So I bought a S14 engine with relatively low k's on it, extractors, light flywheel etc.
I've also bought a set of 40mm dellortos with manifold and linkages etc off trademe ( waiting for it to arrive )
Now, the guy who was running the carbs was running them on a S13 engine on a boat with a dizzy/ coil - i've bought the dizzy/ coil setup off him as well.
I'm just wondering aside from getting a carby fuel pump for the motor, what else has to be done? injector bungs?
The S14 engine I have is a VCT or something one ( has the dizzy setup as well ) - a friend came over and told me as well as asking how it'll work with the carb conversion which I have no idea...
Do you still have to use the ECU to work the VCT? Or will the engine function fine without the ecu etc?
-
Yeah, just a silvertop 20V. So other than the whole noise factor with an external fuel pump ( i've had a few dailies that have had them before ) there would be no real pro's and cons? It would most likely be in the boot.
-
Hey,
What are the pro's and con's of using each setup?
I've got a factory EFI tank ( and can get lines etc if needed ) all still in a car body i'm wrecking.
But i've also got a carby tank in the car factory ( 3AU )
Was wondering what would be a better/ easier to setup/ cheaper in the long run.
External fuel pump setup vs a factory EFI tank setup.
I have the external fuel pump setup off another car I wrecked that was running a 4age as well. I have a digital dash as well, which i'm not sure will how it'll be affected will either setup?

15x8's with 0 offset sit on the back of my ke30 no problem... fronts do too, they're rotas as well, but I just can't be bothered putting wheels back on sorry. ( currently sitting on axle stands and I don't have the right wheel nutes to make the wheels sit properly )

Rolling through Glen Eden this morning I spied a white 240z, on white simmons, with a white haired old lady driving. Coolest sight. Anyone else seen that floating around? It's kinda local for me and I've never seen it before.
Yeaaaap. Every saturday - well most anyways we see that car down at the Oratia/ Pars Park Market day behind the Packing Shed/ that Winery there. Usually spot it parking up when we're working on that massive brick house next door. LOLOL. Its sick. I'll try get some pictures of it next saturday

Hey,
My old man recently bought a Lada station wagon, similar to the one that was advertised on here a little while back.
He needs/ wants a few bits for it, and was wondering where to find Lada Parts in Auckland?
I've had a quick google and the only place I could find was in Napier?
For starters, he's after a factory Towbar, Radiator cap - we've been around all the usual places and none are the correct ones? Factory wheels - his wagon has some SHIT ugly 16's with low profiles on em -.-
And a few interior pieces.
Will get the model number when he comes home haha.
Cheers

Yep just make sure that when they turn up to pick up the car they don't play the whole, "oh this is worse than I expected, I'm only willing to pay..." bollocks that my sister had to put up with 3 frikken times from 3 different Indian guys when she listed her car (even after taking heaps of photos of the rust that it failed the WOF on).
We had some asian guy and his missus drive all the way up from Kapiti Coast to Auckland do that to us, didn't ask any questions. Didn't call. But hit buy now with no problems, I had a picture of the WoF sheet on trademe, and the thing he tried negotiating the price on, was a ding in the bumper. Which I hadn't noticed. Had the car for two weeks, so we told him to F off, needless to say. His missus was pissed at his stupidity and he would have had a VERY LONG DRIVE HOME.
Relisted and sold the next day to a guy making a race car -.-

Oh sweet. Thanks for that guys, I had a quick look up on HPcoatings.co.nz and it ended up being close to $1500. Will definitely ring around shortly and organise it. Thanks heaps

Hey, does anyone know of a decent company that'll powder coat some parts for me
Would prefer a decent company at a decent rate as I want a fair bit done..
Got a gearbox, block + head, complete diff, strut braces and some other miscellaneous parts.
Doesn't really matter where it is, am happy to travel to drop them off as well if there is a reputable company Hamilton/ Tauranga etc wise.
Just want everything looking really nice and purdy before it all gets put back together. Everything is fully stripped at the moment so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
On a side note, if I wanted a lighter colour, will it cost more?
Cheers.

Do you need a heater/ demister for cert? I've just had a quick search on here, it says no but it was from like 2010 and 2012 I believe.. I'm contemplating just blocking them up, but if you need them for a cert obviously thats not going to be a good idea..
