Cheers Richhy, i'll see how cam goes (being a toyota cluster and free) but will be in touch if i get lost.
For others, i am going to have a play with making a digital to mechanical speedo converter for all you lads that put fancy new motors in your whips and want to keep the standard instrument cluster, or need a way to re-calibrate your speedo due to different wheel/tyre combos etc so the person to give/lend me a set will get dibs on this technology
If one from an ae85 works, your more than welcome dude.

Safe to assume its Oldschool cars downstairs and dailies up top tonight? O.o

However, I would require substantial sums to cover the cost in petrol (~$130 for the round trip).
Jesus...
That in comparison to my mates diesel Audi ( $20 from Auckland to the Mount and back ) is ridiculous... Definitely wouldn't want anything Rotary now :/

I'll be there, I might have to get another sticker off you as well Chris. I accidentally put the last one on, on the inside. LOL >.> So its currently on backwards.. All goods if you look at it in the rear vision mirror.. But yeah

Yeah, its got a stupidly large filter on it. But the actual top of the carb doesn't sit that high lol.

Hey guys,
Anyone got any idea on what a 4AGZE ( complete ) with some sort of Holley Carb would be worth?
I've got a friend with one, and he wants to sell it. However i've never seen another 4agze thats been carbied before?
He's opened it up, and is very very tidy. Has still got a decent clutch/ pressureplate on it as well...
No Loom for it though. I don't even know if its a blue or red or small/ bigport head either.
Will find out some more det's on it tomorrow.
Cheers

Yeah they're expensive, but they are fairly cheap to rebuild though... Parts wise its pretty cheap...
-
I've got some 4age parts and stuff left over - not much.. But yeah, I've got the rwd head stuff just sitting in a cabinet.. And if you're interested in SHWAGS 7afe block, you're more than welcome to it after i've bought it. I'm pretty much wanting it for the head/ parts etc.

Hey guys, so I thought i'd make a build thread/ project updater for my ke35 coupe. ( second time its been reshelled )
Discussion here:
//oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/38823-gostlys-ke35-discussion/
At the mo:
- 1979 Ke35 Corolla
- Blue top big-port 4AG
- 45mm Twin Dellortos
- 6AL MSD unit ( currently running the 8,000 rev chip )
- 22 Spline T50
- Coby extractors
- Custom driveshaft
- T series diff - 1420mm wide, currently with a 4.1:1 diff - I think
- 3 Piece Gallop Racing Mesh wheels. 14x6.5 and 14x7
- Hydraulic clutch
- Jamex red reclinable seat - stick out like dog balls.
- OLD COFFEE BEAN SACKS on the rear seats. Smells like coffee.
- Cut up/ modified Luggage rack
What I'm looking at doing as time passes by:
- Either completely rebuild the 16v and further spice up the old girl, OR 16V 7AGE with the carbs.
- Close ratio gearbox - instead of the crappy shortshifters they sell.
- 4.778:1 T series diff with some sort of LSD.
- Finish more of the body work.
- AE86 Front Coilovers.
- T3 Camber plates.
- Get the speedo working.
- Get the rev counter working.
- New carpet
- Panhard rods/ some crazy old rear suspension upgrades my old man is ALWAYS telling me to do.
- Finish replacing all the rubbers - Boot + the two doors and one side wide left.
- SCOUT OUT SOME KE35 GUTTER CHROME - I HAVE ONE SIDE BUT NOT THE OTHER.
And then look at sorting out a Cert to make her completely legal
Some old pictures of my coupe before it was all re-shelled.
Some newer more nicer ones:- 2

Oh yeah? Damn man you got fairly decent prices with the aussie dollar it seems. It worked out $1120 by the time I paid for customs or whatever for just my water relocation kit + dizzy cover kit and the coil plate adapter.
Would you be interested in selling the dizzy kit? Might have a need for it later on down the track.
Did you end up getting the kit that allows you to use the heater and stuff?
-
Shit dude, you got your SAMQ stuff quick as lol - took me almost 8 weeks for mine too arrive haha. Looks sick as, keep it up

Hey guys, i'm very curious about this. Do you need a cert to run camber plates? On standard struts?
I've been reading different things, and am wondering since I read that its illegal to have stupid amounts of - camber for a road car now unless its certed?
Any help would be sweeeeet.
-
Ohh, thats where it is, Cheers Ned.

How do you get to carpark underneath lol? The only time's i've been is when its been relatively dry and have only spotted the ramp up?? O.o Cheeeers. By the way, who do I see about a sticker? If I qualify for one yet? Is it Euron8? And how much monies do ya need for it?
-
Wanna buy my 20v 7agte? Its being put together now... And I want/ need money for a 4.5L supercharged lexus v8 for my ae85

Is this sort of stuff certable in NZ? "http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GSP-RED-240SX-S13-S14-SILVIA-300ZX-Z32-FRONT-ADJUSTABLE-LOWER-CONTROL-ARM-ARMS-/261097098903?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cca998e97&_uhb=1#ht_2755wt_1037" Just curious.

I was just wondering what one of these are worth: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=585656062
Has anyone used one? Are they hard to install? or even worth it? Legal on a street car - I'd assume so? But yeah?
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers

Oh, similar prices to Wayne in Henderson.
-
Yeah pretty much, the guy I bought em off didn't tell me offset or anything so hey, was worth the chance. Will probably just look at selling and buying some off yahoo japan

If you're serious, I'll most likely be ripping the 4age + t50 out of my coupe shortly and going back to K series shit... Twin 45mm dellorto's modded K series dizzy + Msd unit... Probably cheaper than buying all the crap + putting it together and shit.. and you can hear it going if you are in Auckland...
