Awesomeness! yet another Hino on the build! I guess that your South island based? Alex, yourself and I could almost start our own homely Hino club.
Great work! I will be following this build for sure!

Our next meet will be graced with the presence of some members from the Christchurch precinct, So Alex and I have decided that we will have a delightful bbq at Kaiteriteri beach on Saturday the 2nd of May.
I will do the usual start point at WOW. 12:00pm
leave around 12.15, cruise out to Kaiteriteri
Alex, how about you organize the Motueka crew to meet at the clock tower at say... 12.30?
We can then do a larger convoy out to kaiteriteri beach.
Rain location will be at the Riwaka Tavern. (I wont put that on the FB post)
I only took a few pics of our last meet, which was small but still contained good quality vehicular discussions.
Here are the pics anyway

Thanks It was last in service for SBL (southern bus links). So was based in the Nelson region

Once upon a time after a few brews I did this to my Valiant CM. It just burnt out a fusible link. Replaced that sucker and I was doing burnouts in no time. That did kill all ignition though, rather than one cylinder missing

I think he meant an O2J box

Great car! I wonder if your mate at accuair would be interested in doing an oldschool group type deal? I would definitely be keen along with others

This is sweet Shane
All this housebusery is making me envious and wanting my own
Cheers, Doit Doit!
Oooooooooh, not sure your bus will fit where the other one is.
Looking good though man, awesome.
The bedford is only 2 meters shorter but its the positioning of my front wheels that may not allow the tight turn.
Hey cheers... but what about the bus????

I really need to get a better camera, like one that doesn't make phone calls

Alright, Iv been living in the old girl for a few months now and its awesome! No regrets whatsoever
Iv pulled out the table and chairs to make room for a full sized fridge
Iv replaced the 12" subwoofers that are mounted under the couch with some xplod's that I had kicking around the shed
Does anyone know anything about this amp?
Ripped out walls because they were dumb
In goes the fridge, I will try to hide this or paint it or something to hide its uglyness. It may even end up on the other side of the bus
then I moved onto my parents property. They will be getting their bus legal soon and hitting the road so there will be much more space then, I just hope we can get my bus into their spot!
Its all been about the shower and water system lately, Brought a gas califont and mounted that in a locker (still need to make a flue for it). Run water pipes and drainage pipes, Dad chucked up some wood to attach the lining to and we after work today we started cutting up a old stainless shower cubicle to line my shower with.
Heres a pic dump

This is what I am thinking Alex.
Leave WOW and head towards wakefield (could go through stoke/richmond), carry on out to Kohatu Pub and turn to go through tapawera, turn right at woodstock, left at dovedale which is Nuedof Road and that will take us through to upper moutere pub.
sound like a plan?
-
So the time has come upon us!
Plan is to meet up at WOW around 6pm, Cruise out to Upper Moutere Pub for beer and banter.
see you sexy lot there

So the old boys from the Golden bay collectible car club are doing a run to Rabbit Island for lunch this Sunday the 29th. They got hold of me wondering if we could rustle up a few cars to attend. They aim to be there around 12pm.
Usual story... bring something to throw on the bbq, drink responsibly and say no to drugs
Alex, Hannah and I will be going, anyone else interested???
Here's a link to their site (no info on upcoming meet though)

If it comes to it, it's completely legal to have your reverse lights on a separate switch on your dash/hidden away somewhere

I guess I should finalize this project after being such a slack cunt with updating it.
So it flew through a VTNZ Wof... YEA RIGHT!!
After repairing more chassis rust and completely overhauling the rear brakes they just wouldn't balance right. I tried all sorts to get them balanced but in the end I think the wof guy got so sick of retests/seeing my face that he gave it the damn sticker.
I used it pretty much daily for a few months and while being awesomely awesome it used the same amount of fuel as my LTD, Used/leaked more oil than the gulf of mexico incident and the springs were stiffer than your dad on viagra.
Its also put alot of smiles on my face as i surprised plenty of flatpeakers at the lights, climbed some rather large hills and even rescued a rolled Pajero (Spanish slang word meaning 'He who fiddles with himself for sexual gratification'.)
While this project was ALOT of hard work and I swore so much at it, I would do it all again... with at least a solid chassis and ANY engine that isn't English!
So heres the last pics and this will be my last post on this thread
I ended up swapping the truck as part of the deal for the Hino
