I've used my old VF and the LTD as wedding cars. One was a sisters wedding and the other was my best mates. They both knew they didn't have to ask for me to make clouds and the pics always gets alot of love.
Twice I've been organized to use the ltd for random cunts, both times has fallen through.
As for payment, you actually have to do much more hours than you are paid for as there is the polishing of the car and polishing up of yourself etc

what you see is really the worst of the rust.
Yea I considered soda but I could get sand with ease, plus there is about 6 different layers of paint/filler to get through so I went for the reuseable option

So Ive been doing some shit to this shit
Stripped her down like a cheap hooker and laid into her.
Went and brought the nastiest tarpaulins I could find and set up a sandblasting booth
Had to buy a new nozzle and new garnet for works sandblasting unit but at least I'm now using good stuff.
Also borrowed Reco's spare air compressor thinking it should be up to the task... it wasn't. So I trundled off in search of more air, ended up borrowing a mates petrol powered compressor thinking surely with these 2 combined...
The sandblaster seems to work best at around 150 psi but even with one compressor feeding the other I could get about 40 seconds of good pressure before it went flaccid. Not cool! Ill look into hiring a big bastard trailer compressor to do the job.
Anyway...some more pics

Thanks again everyone!
Excellent roads for an excellent day! Since my car is on shed guard duty I was the car slut of the day and jumped into almost every car there.
I loved the fact that out of the 8 cars we had along today, we didn't have a manufacturer double up. (I included Will's shuttle but he was kind enough to park it well away so he didn't steal the show)

Said rotary is most likely a mk2 escort in a metallic grey with ghost camo. But you are right, Nelson is way better than wellington

I have the same kind of steel fan on the ltd. I've honestly never heard it.
I have always wondered why they are a X shape rather than a + shape. Anyone know?
So answer must be add more cubes until fan is no longer audible.

Our next meet we will be taking a drive following the Westbank road all the way up to the Batton bridge, crossing over onto the Motueka valley highway and following that into Tapawera.
Stop in at the dirty ol Tapawera tavern for refreshments and to let the locals bathe in our awesomeness.
Sunday 11th October
Nelson people meet at Jacks Tyres in Richmond at 9.20am leave around 9.30.
Motueka people meet at the clock tower/Repco at 10.00am and wait for us city folk to arrive.
see you there!

I could weld in a panel if you find one.
School mate had one of these, spent stupid money on it and did skids everywhere. Then he got the tip off that the cops were on their way to seize it... so the dick axed it pretty much in half

Shall we meet at Jacks tyres at say 10.30ish?
-
Haha that's right! It's the worst gearbox iv ever pulled out!
-

Yea I did read that thread and thought I had better come over and drop a fat corolla skid/check them out
-
Actually no I can't because our monthly meet is that day
-
I guess you could do that but it seems like alot of work when I think an almost undetectable repair would suffice

Alright so... I've pretty much stripped the whole thing out now. Yes there is areas that need attention but nothing that I didn't know about so she really is still a solid old whale.

Pulled the engine and gearbox out. Wouldn't surprise me if its the first time the gearbox has seen daylight since being fitted!
Good times!
