Rear indicators removed, grips arrived. Getting closer to maiden voyage

Planning to chop a square out of the seat and move the bolt on point forward ie make it a single seat. Will still clip onto factory front mount. Will rip all padding off and make it a slim line. Kinda thinking brown fake leather look lol

New bars finished and sprayed black. Trial fitment on the bike. Will need to try and lower the risers somehow but I think its promising! Will see what it looks like without the black plastic immediately below the risers I guess and go from there. Sweet riding position though comfy as haha

Yer pretty sure polar blast coming tonight - expected snow on Chch Port Hills so could be a decent dollop in Hanmer. Should be sweet by Friday though afaik.

Haven't updated this for ages but took it for WOF today and all it failed on was rear bulb - success. Have got one and will take for recheck sometime. It's now ready to go back on the tard

Todays progress: -throttle assembly ordered from ebay -sweet BMX style grips ordered from the tard -new front and rear brake shoes ordered from Wemoto. Just waiting for the bars now.

Hooked in again today. Parts bike stripped a fair bit. Got wheels, guard, a bit of wiring out etc. Took chain guard off main bike to get it looking a bit leaner and meaner haha Back wheel on main bike is pretty buckled (as you can see in above photo). CBF to try and true it. Both wheels off parts bike are fairly good so will send em to be sandblasted and powder coated in due course. Also both inner tubes are good off parts bike so bonus!

Gonna need some 'bars powdercoated black and a couple of bits and pieces flouro of some description. Anyone in the industry or have hookups?

Got em from eBay for about 45 USD landed I think. Were actually pretty cheap I thought - for 1" OD bars tho - 7/8" would have been better but oh well

Thanks for the offer man - but you cant get cheaper than free! Hey Chris, Yeah I think so - this will be on the cards at a later stage. When I get it all set up and running. Re: seat / indicators. Unsure of plans for seat at this stage. Would love a fixed bobber type seat but having to get under it to fill the oil/petrol is a major downer for this plan. Its looking like the colour scheme is gonna be black with flouro wheels. The grips, rear struts and wheels all gonna be same flouro colour so potentially could use the existing seatpan and cut it down and then recover in a matching flouro vinyl.. I wanna run some indicators but some real micro ones - ditto front and rear lights.
