Hey Greg,
Yeah mate, picked it up in a very hungover state on sunday. after Foo Fighters gig Saturday night
i was going to come see you, but yea sick n yuck
thanks for the heads up with marshalls, the old boy was busy so had to go with marshalls in the end.
what a fuck around, rang them every day for update, got the "yep sweet we on to it" from Nick.
Payed up on Thursday. sent my mate in for pickup Friday afternoon & no work had been completed.
he did the old "Fuck you! I'm not leaving without this box. do it NOW"
stood over the bloke while he rebuilt it on the spot. what a fucking joke.
But it is in now and it is sweet, no leaks and smooth as.
got a result but man o man what a cluster fuck

So you like Wagon Camping?
I hear Vinegar Hill is nice around Waitangi weekend.
Keen for WAGNATS, but it is the missus birthday weekend. So I should leave her at home with the kids & roll to the Manawatu!
negotiations are underway Boe

Here is my 1970 VG Valiant Regal Safari Wagon
I scored this off my missus cousin, he dailyed it for a couple of years then parked up for a year or so because the front calipers clapped out & he couldn't fix them for various reasons. I told him I wanted it. He Laughed.
Finally one day he called and said "come pick it up bro"
SWEET JESUS!
I rolled straight out there with a spare battery n 20L of premium fuel & Boom! she lives. 245ci of Aussie Deadlyness
Drove it around the paddock n decided the rear breaks were sweet enough for a slow 3km voyage home! Success!
with some remedial internetting skills i found that VG Front Calipers were shit & fitting later model VH/VJ calipers are the go.
Called a mate in the bustling metropolis of Matata and two VJ units were swapped for a box of Waikato!
A quick call to the local BNT had a caliper kit & new break pads on the way. Too easy.
Next was a call to aussie to find Auto Blinds/Venetians. Most places wanted the earth to ship these to NZ
I finally found Autocables.com.au & I rang the Chap there, NO Worries Mayte, $50 to get 'em to ya. SOLD TO THE BLACK MAN IN THE TAN HAT! Sweet.
I haven't done much more too it since then apart from fix the googly eye looking headlights, they have a spacer in the headlamp bucket that can be removed & allows the headlamp to sit in nice & recessed like.
Scored a WOF & we have been using it as a sweet cruiser n camper wag on occasion for the last couple of years
plans for 2015 are drop spindles, reset leaves & new TWL 7" bands to fit on the valiant centres (standard rims are 5" wide).

Sweet Wag Bro,
I have used Pentastar parts in aus to get NOS & repro parts.
http://www.pentastarparts.com.au/store/
hemi performance seemed more expensive for most parts.
And I tracked down the little machine shop in Victoria that supplies both of these crowds with their 2" drop spindles, save yourself $300+ on drop spindles!

Alternatively, does somebody have a big slab of land with a white house with a large wall with no windows on it where we can slap a projector and all park up in our cars and watch a drive in movie?
No? Okay as you were then...
