  1. Bent drag links, certifiable? The joints on the end of my drag link bind up when at full suspension travel, if i put 2 bends in it so it becomes sort of a "s" shape ( its a solid bar like 25mm round) to get around the joints binding (it will be a new custom drag link not a bent oem one) or can a single shear high misalignment heim set up be certed?

  2. Yo Kris, im building a d/cab ln106 with sb 350 in it aiming for prerunner status, how are you finding the squat/roll steer in the back of this? My link set produces numbers real close to yours so am keen to hear any words you have regarding yours? Also certing mine so might have to change it up? Fully sick yota btw

  3. i contemplated building a roll bar aye, measurements have to be precise otherwise your soft top wont fit, and if your life has to ever rely on it id get a proper engineer to make one, i had a quote for $900 from chubbracing for a mean as one, another guy to see would be Kevin Hunt who lives in Waimauku...

  4. waste of some perfectly good classic cars if you ask me... and being aimed at the younger population they could get a prius paint it pink, put some gay pride stickers on the side and let a fafafini drive it around ranui and it will still have the same effect.... idc they should have gave the eskie more screen time because 6 escorts for 30sec is a pretty high price, especially when they are full rally spec.....ahwell interesting what fast and fluffy 7 will be like... its already in production

from the a pillars forward is done but work on the car has slowed right down due to no $$$ and basic training coming up in august for the army... will do the odd bit to it when i have time.

  6. got a quote from pitstop for $420 for a full 2.25" exhaust with one coby.... if that helps and yeah a flexy joint will help because the bottom curve of the cobys crack... and get really weak and give lots of leaks.

  7. thanks for the info, haha yeah dad used to do rallys so im aware of all the costs etc, it was just mainly the cert side of things because things have changed abit since he was doing it last,

  8. say if some one was to build a classic rally car to compete in the likes of targa rally and the silverfern rally what would the car require ( apart from FIA/MSNZ race seats/harnesses and cage) ? do things like suspension modifications etc have to a separate certification? or do you just need a low volume cert?

    cheers

  9. decided im just going to run it standard with adjustable TCA's, adjusties on 300lb springs, gas shocks... will see if i need the swaybar side of things upgraded when its on the road.
