After running them through the Shrinker once or. Twice, I had them lined up. They fitted the original arch off the corona quite well.
Got them all welded on
Got the wheel sitting at a nice height now.
The wheel in the picture has 25mm spacers, so I'm thinking of getting some more rims, some 15x9s will fill out the guards nicely, without the need of spacers

So finally a update on the corona. It's been a long time, have had a few other projects Iv been doing. Am going to be struggling to get this done , this summer, which is a bit of a bummer. But anyways, I couldn't get the car sitting as low as I wanted, well not legally anyway. I had the leafs sitting flat, and 2" lowering blocks and there was still a big gap between the wheel arch and the tyre. I could have put bigger lowering blocks in but then wouldn't even be able to make it over a speed bump without the U-bolts hitting the ground. Only way I could see was to out another arch on the car. I pissed around abit trying to get a bolt on flare, but didn't like the look of a flare, specially on a oldschool ride, I personally think it makes some older cars look ugly. So I had a newer corona out the back of the property. After a few measurements, they looked similar. I cut the front wheel arches off the guards
Arches cut off

Yeh , it turned out mint. Lost motivation on the corona. Got so many other projects

Not much of a update. Been busy working on a couple of other ca I have. Have run out of funds for the corona, so need to sell a couple more cars to get some more money, the poor life of being a student.
Recently just finished a ke36 corolla, and plan to finish a ke30 corolla in the next couple of weeks. Then I will get stuck back into the corona

I got some rims sorted also , some 15x8 DTM F1Ds . I know they arnt going to be everyone's cup of tea, but Iv decided I'm painting the car red, and the gold centres will look good with the red car

Right bit more of a update on the beast. Got to keep motivated on this project. Got so many cars , I just got to get rid of them and stick with one haha.
Got the engine bay all done. Now been doing the body. It is not a easy job stripping a car back to bare metel the old fashioned way, by hand. It takes a long long time. I would get it all blasted back to metal, but being a student I'm to poor for that haha
Got all the body done and all the panels, it took me so long and there's a lot of surface rust on the roof and guards
Found abit of rust on both front doors, hiding in the corners filled up with bog

I also going to pick up a ke36 wagon on the weekend , so progress with this might have to be out on hold again for a month or so haha. These cars keep popping up and I can't resist to buy them haha

Started welding up the holes . Had to cut a little but out of the firewall to clear the clutch slave cylinder. The slave cylinders on top of the bell housing, and also the starter motor is around the opposite way to the original toyota one. Bloody Mazda like doing things different
Also decided when I was taking the motor out, it was abit of a mission to lift the motor and gearbox up over the radiator support, so I cut the middle of the support out. Made up a new one with a couple of 6mm nuts and bolts each side, so I can just bolt in and out when I want. Hopefully it won't affect the certification. Tried making it look factory

Started stripping back all the engine bay paint , trying to get it all clean steel, but gave up after a hour, of getting no where haha. Ended up getting the engine bay sand blasted, a million times easier! . It takes so long doing it all by hand. I am still going to do the rest of the body and panels by hand, but that shod be easier , as there's not all the little nooks and crannys like in the engine bay

Started tidying up the engine bay. Decided I'm going to put the battery in the boot, so will remove old battery brackets. There's heaps of holes everywhere, looks abit of a mess at the moment but will get there
-
I also pulled the engine out, it's all fitted in now, time to start cleaning up the engine bay, getting rid of all the clips, and all the holes everywhere
-
Got the new patches welded in, come out alright
-
The front of the sills under the guards, is the worst bit of rust in the car, they were both completely rusted out. It was abit of a mission trying to shape the round into the new patch.
-
Took all the guards off and lucky me, both guards and sills are rotten as. Previous owner had a poor poor job of trying to patch it up with body filler haha. I'll be doing it the right way, with new steel.
-
Also got my gearbox tunnel sorted out. Wasn't to much of a major, just had to cut some new bits and weld them in.
Iv also started doing the panel work now, I'm bare metalling the whole car

So I got all the wiring sorted out, I got rid of all the wires that are not used, and I re-run all wiring around the out side of the engine bay, and behind the guards. I had to extend almost all the wires. Will look good having no wires in the engine bay though.

I have a toyota 4k carburettor that is giving me trouble. Every time I put my foot down it dies then comes right after a little bit. Iv tried heaps and found out the problem. The power valve jet was blocked. My problem is , on the side of the carby is a little solenoid. It has a hose coming off it and a wire ,but I'm not sure where the hose is meant to be connected to. There's also a little hole that goes to the power valve, I'm assuming this needs vacuum to operate the power valve. I also took the solenoid out to test it. It only works if you push the solenoid in a little bit, then it will energise and work, other wise just puting power onto it nothing happens. You can see the solenoid in the picture. The carbs off a 4k-u. It had all the emissions crap removed.

Hey man whats your number, I texted you awhile ago about the grill, I got some money now haha

Just after some help on my standard 4k. The engine idles great and revs up when under no load. But when driving, if I put my foot down hard the motor bogs right down for a few seconds ,then takes off. It does it all the time. It will accelerate smoothly if I just slowly increase the accerator. I'm not sure what it could be. And it also backfires out the exhuast when decelerating
Cheers for any help

Hey man I'm doing the same project as you. It's been abit of a mission to get to fit in there, a lot of hacking and welding. I'm using those mounts you originally used. What mounts did you end up using? Cheers

After a lot of pissing around, and I mean a lot!, shaping the arches and getting the lines in it perfect, it took a long time.
Couple of photos of it all primered. And also paneld the rear quater panel. Still not perfect but pretty good. Will finish it off in the next few days.
And the other side
