Check out this guy for bearings http://www.bowdenengineparts.co.nz/pdf/bearings.pdf he seem to have what you need for $50 - great guy to deal with.

Well its been 4 months and no progress - life gets in the way!
Got a few hours this weekend and did this.
Tacked the new inner sill in
Over the break did another order to Germany and got these new inner wheel arches, at about 15 euro each I couldn't pass them up
Decided if was better to just use it for a repair section - a lot less work then unpicking the whole thing.
Ready to stick in - tacked up the top join but the original steel is so very thin I need to get some .6mm wire for the MIG before I go much further.
But at least some progress. It will be another month before I get another chance now

Also remember that the gearbox/dif share the oil with the engine, be prepared for a crankshaft grind and bearings as well! (Just ask GuyWithAvaiators )

Yes clutch can be done in place - you do need a special puller for the flywheel.
-
From about '73 they went to a mechanical pump and alternator. (and inboard CV's instead of the rubber cross joints)
-
That's never good news with one of these, I suggest you get a copy of a workshop manual and start with the clutch, it's about the only bit of the driveline that can be serviced (just) with the engine in.
-
Check that the gear selector shaft is connected to the gearbox - the pin sometimes falls out

There is not much that can go wrong with these gearboxes that can completely remove drive with out it making a lot of horrible noises!
Does it feel like its going into gear at all?
Are both the drive-shafts connected to each side of the gearbox? (look down the back of the engine with a torch)
Unfortunately unless it's a completely worn out clutch plate (possible!) you are in for engine removal to fix anything else.
How is the rust in the body?

That make more sense, it's prob just a bulb then!

Reverse lights??? there are none on one of these.

Stoked Hogan got this going looks wild !
The Toyota GX81 is a mates . Built that for a ridiculously low price and just to have fun. A misunderstood style especially at the Bogan festival
It looked great - there were many confused looks at the Toyota - it's cool

I have seen it sitting in the high 90's at the housing, do make sure you have the flat cap (no spring) on the rad and the normal cap on the overflow bottle

Good job guys, get yourself one of these http://www.jaycar.co.nz/Test-%26-Measurement/Thermometers/Non-Contact/Mini-Non-Contact-IR-IP67-Thermometer/p/QM7218 and check the temp at the thermostat housing and compare with the bottom of the Radiator to see what the actual temp is and how well the radiator is working.

This is interesting, here is a cover of another architecture book I saw in 2012 - more good OS on the cover

Yep it would seem so, ever panel or part I take off is rusty on the inside - no thought to corrosion protection at all.
That panel I had made is one of the few you cannot buy - luckily it was a simple shape.
Also I had an offer out of the blue, of a spot welder to borrow so that will make things soo much easier!

I was briefly at Ruapuna racetrack today photographing my friends 2K cup car (You don't want to see that here!)
But I did see this EH Holden in pre '65 and liked that he has named his carbs
