  1. I've got a llooooong way to go before I even think about mounting it tho lol
  2. Alright, the loom I pulled out of x61 is pretty haggard and the loom I got with my 1gge looks heaps better. I have decided to hopefully get the car plugs changed and run it instead if its possible. Either way I will need plugs changed on 1 of them, noticed a few that are different and probably more as well. Where/who is the best place to get something done? And can I just take the 2 looms in and get it done or would the whole car need to go?
  3. Just got these from Japan, Not exactly for an x61 but they do look pretty damn epic sitting on. don't know how the valance will handle chch roads tho. Also started attacking the high amount of rust and bog in the car, have no idea what to do just making it up as I go along .
  4. Uhh bugger, will just have to keep it under the radar as long as possible. way to much needs tidying up before i even attempt to get cert. Rust, bog and cable ties won't quite cut it lol.
  5. sorry if its been asked but search found nothing and reading 80 pages would kill me. Do I need cert if Ive swapped a engine for the twin cam version (1geu to 1gge) and a manual conversion using all bolt on parts from the same chassis? Edit: Think I just found the answers, but someone who knows there stuff to say yes or no would let me sleep easy at night
  6. Wow nice find, Makes mine look like a parts car. Keen to see what happens with finding a set of coil overs.
  7. I've got a scan here of a 1G exhaust flange with basic measurements, if anyone's keen to turn it into a cad drawing I can get cut out so I can start a new set of Headers. Trying to do it myself but could spend years trying to get it right.
  8. Gearbox has been sitting in the shed for a while waiting until I found something to bolt it to which has turned out to be a 1G GE Just need to get it into here and sort the loom and ecu out.
  9. Bugger all has changed on the car but got a sexy set of rims that I need to find someone to make new outers for and everything to convert it to manual sitting in my room, but can't trust half my mates in the back seat let alone with a spanner so getting it all put in is going to take a while. Also tracked down a mark II badge, just need to get it changed on the rego ticket.
  10. Not that there's a lot to discuss but anyway. http://oldschool.co....s-gx61-mark-ii/
  11. Alright here goes, This is my first project car not overly sure what I'm doing but that's all part of the fun ( I hope). Just a warning There won't be anything major happening until the speedway seasons over which could be whenever the car decides to throw a leg out of bed. As it sits now its pretty much standard, apart from sitting on what appears to be ever so slightly cut springs. Really want to get the outside tidied up first, One rear quarter seems to have a bit of bog which thankfully was all I could find and considering I think I got it relatively cheap I wasn't about to lose sleep over it. This is about the only pic I have, cellphone quality but there's not a lot to show at the moment. Discuss //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/34903-spanglers-gx61-mark-ii/
  12. Whats the best way to lower one of these beasts? , What other spring/shock combos will fit? want to get adjusties but that's out of the budget at the moment. Was told that gx71 is roughly based on the same chassis can anyone confirm this?
